Fire prevention and firefighting services are constitutionally assigned to fire brigades, and fire prevention and panic safety analysis (technical plans prepared by Civil Engineers and Architects registered at CREA or CAU) and Technical Surveys at temporary events, in multi-family commercial and residential buildings to verify that they comply with current fire safety standards. The 7th Fire Department (7th GB) of the Paraná State Fire Department is the unit responsible for operational incident handling as well as managing the Fire Prevention and Fighting Services (SPCI) in 14 municipalities of the metropolitan region and 33 neighborhoods of the northern region of Curitiba. This group, in 2012, adopted a strategic planning methodology focused on the fire and panic prevention service, aiming to improve the services provided, reducing response time and becoming a reference in this area. This study aimed to evaluate the results obtained by the 7th GB after the implementation of this methodology, as well as to present the description of the 7th GB strategic planning and to compare it with the 7th GB Strategic Planning, to evaluate if there was an increase in the revenue from the Service. Regarding the methodology used, it is a case study allied to bibliographic and documentary research, as the approach is classified as a qualitative research, as the objectives it is exploratory. Data were collected through questionnaire, interview and documentary research. It was verified in this search that there was a significant increase in revenue as well as an increase in the number of services provided, it was also verified that, according to the Strategic Plan, there was the nationalization of two Community Fire Stations (Almirante Tamandaré and Campina Grande do Sul) and the implementation Prevention Service in these municipalities. Finally, a checklist was suggested for the implementation of strategic planning based on the theoretical framework studied and the Fire Department Strategic Planning.
