This study aims to determine the effect of the use of inquiry learning methods on the learning outcomes of fifth grade students in science subjects of light traits in Catholic Elementary School Nita I. This research is a quasi-experimental study. The sample of this study was 39 students consisting of 20 VA students as the experimental class and 19 VB students as the control class. Learning outcomes tests and learning motivation questionnaire sheets were used to obtain data in this study, with a t-test performed to test hypotheses preceded by a prerequisite analysis test in the form of a normality test. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the inquiry learning method has a positive and significant effect on the students’ learning outcomes. The group of students who took part in the learning with inquiry learning method obtained a better post test score which was equal to 76.25 compared to the group of students who followed conventional learning who obtained a post-test average score of 65.26.
The world today is experiencing a very crucial impact of global warming. During the last century or so, the earth's temperature has increased quite significantly with an average temperature ranging from 0.74 ± 0.18 ° C. The negative impact of prolonged global warming has prompted humans to carry out campaigns to save the environment, including reducing greenhouse gas emissions, eradicating plastic waste, and returning to local wisdom in managing natural resources. The local wisdom of the Sikka people, Ro'a Dun Kare Taden is one of the ancestral legacies of the Sikka community, which invites everyone to keep the forest as the lungs of the world. The purpose of this research is to raise the traditions and values of local wisdom Ro'a Dun Kare Taden in the Sikka community as a learning resource for elementary school students, especially to provide a foundation for understanding the importance of preserving the forest environment as the lungs of the world. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method using data collection techniques from the results of observations, interviews and documentation studies. The results showed that learning the introduction of the natural environment and its preservation efforts by promoting local wisdom values such as Ro'a Dun Kare Taden had a positive impact on students' learning motivation and their love for the environment.
This study aims to improve science learning outcomes material changes in the form of objects. This research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) conducted in 2 cycles where each cycle consists of 3 meetings, which consists of 4 stages, namely planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The subjects in this study were fourth grade students at SDK 077 Kewapante, totaling 37 students consisting of 23 male students and 14 female students. Data collection techniques used in this study were tests, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique used is the analysis of test results and observation results. The research results show that the use of animated videos can improve student learning outcomes. The increase in student learning outcomes can be seen in the results of the pretest cycle I with a total score of 1,479 with an average of 39.9, and the percentage of completeness of 5.4% increased 45.9% to the results of the posttest cycle I where the total value was 3,028 with an average of 81. 8 and the percentage of completeness is 51.3%. while in cycle II there was an increase with a total value of 3,450 with an average of 93.2 and a completeness percentage of 100%.
The Covid-19 pandemic has brought major changes in the world of education in Indonesia. The impact caused by this pandemic has led the Indonesian nation to the introduction of civilization or a new era related to mastering communication and information technology through the application of online learning. However, people's readiness to adopt new technologies and apply them in online learning has become an obstacle in itself during the pandemic until now. The purpose of this study is to describe the level of student participation during the pandemic related to the use of online learning technology. This research uses qualitative descriptive methods and emphasizes data collection through interviews, observations and documentation studies. The results showed that the low level of student participation in adopting online learning technology, students were not prepared for changes in application-based online learning technology, lack of digital literacy, lack of income for economic needs, and student mentality. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the unstable economic conditions of the community during the pandemic have caused students' unpreparedness in accepting online learning models through modern learning applications on the internet, the mentality of students who are unwilling to accept changes, and the adaptation to the use of online learning technology.
This study aims to improve student learning outcomes by applying folding paper learning media. This research is a classroom action research (PTK) designed to help teachers (researchers) find and solve learning problems that occur in the classroom. This class action research will be carried out in a cyclical manner, between cycle I and cycle II. The results showed that after giving action for two cycles the average score of the test results increased learning outcomes by applying learning media Kertas Lipat in Mathematics subjects increased. Cycle I resulted in a score of 65% with the category not meeting the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM). In cycle II, it experienced a very significant increase of 91.3% and met KKM. This shows that student learning outcomes in Mathematics subjects can be further applied to improve student learning achievement, especially in Mathematics subjects summing fractional numbers. The use of Folding Paper media can improve the learning outcomes of grade V students of SD Inpres Wairotang.
