A Novel Sunscreen Agent Having Antimelanoma Activity. -A series of dibenzoylmethane derivatives (I) is synthesized and reduced to mono-(II) and dihydroxy compounds (III). The products are evaluated for their sunscreen and cytotoxic activity.
