Izvedba gozdarskih del ostaja osrednji in ključni del gospodarjenja z gozdovi. Še tako dobro načrtovani cilji in ukrepi lahko ob neustrezni izvedbi del pripeljejo do degradacije okolja, finančnih izgub ali celo človeških tragedij.

The Forest Act allows vehicles to be driven in the forest outside of forest roads for the purpose of forest management or rescue of persons or property. The vehicles and machinery intended for these tasks are very diverse, both in their form and in the dimensions and quality requirements of the thoroughfares on which they move. The types of mechanization discussed include agricultural tractors, specialized forestry mechanisation, trailers on tractors, trucks, cars and construction machinery. By reviewing various databases, legal restrictions and our own experience, interval data on the mass and width of representative examples of each category were given. It was estimated that among forest owners, the most numerous mechanization was up to 200 cm wide, while among professional contractors and protection and rescue forces, the most numerous mechanization and vehicles were up to 230 cm wide. It was also found that mechanization and vehicles up to 230 cm wide can perform all forest management and protection and rescue tasks at least on a basic scale.

Skupaj je umrlo 20 ljudi, kar je 5 več kot v letu 2020, oz. trije manj kot v letu 2019, veliko pa je bilo tudi poškodovanih. Iz podatkov, ki jih na osnovni svojega delovanja pripravi Policija in iz podatkov, ki jih na osnovi objav o intervencijah pripravi Uprava RS za zaščito in reševanje zbira Zavod za gozdove Slovenije, smo pripravil pregled statistike za preteklo leto in nekaj primerjav z letom 2020. Agriculture and forestry are among the labor-intensive industries where knowledge about health and safety at work is never enough. In recent years, the risk of accidents in the workplace is in forestry at the top, as well as farming is very high. Most accidents happen with agricultural forestry and techniques. In R.Slovenia, circumstances in non-professional workers sector are especially very critical, because working in agriculture and forestry are not only involved farmers, but also everyone who has an interest, time and agricultural land or forest. However, the situation is not problematic only for individual forest and agricultural workers, but on the national level. The fact that the exact data of accidents in the non-professional workers sector are not exactly known demands detailed analyses about the causes of accidents.
