When experiments failed, or when vi papers were published, through the good and bad, they were always there to commiserate or celebrate with, and they will always be some of my best friends. Finally, I would like to thank my family: my husband Michael, for helping me stay strong; my sister Babs, for cheering me up; and especially my parents, for all their love, support, and encouragement.
