Olele village in Kabila Bone district is among the villages located in the southern coastal area of the province of Gorontalo. The majority of people there work as fishermen and farmers. Nike fish (Awaous melanocephalus) and moringa (Moringa oleifera) are the common natural resources in Olele village. The objective of this mentoring project was to enhance the food processing skills of the local community by disseminating steps in processing moringa nike fish nugget and the potential of the leaves of a moringa as the ingredient of moringa leaf cake. Its steps included 1) preparation, 2) program implementation, and 3) evaluation. Based on the results, the mentoring program contributed to the enhancement of both knowledge and skills of the participants in processing nugget of moringa nike fish. The participants were also aware of the potential of the leaf moringa as an ingredient of a healthy diet. Further, all participants were able to make moringa nike fish nugget and moringa leaf cake. These two food products received a positive reception from all panelists. In the end, all participants would improve all of the food products through their home-based food business. This was also to support the food business program in their village.
This study aimed to determine the increase in student’s ecoliteracy skills through the implementation of stop motion graphic animation video as the learning media on the subject matter of environmental change. In conducting the study, it used the Pre-experiment method in the form of a quasi-experiment, one group pretest-posttest. The results of this study showed that, there was a significant increase in students’ ecoliteracy skills obtained in pretest by students before implementing the stop motion graphic animation media as 71.2. Meanwhile, the implementationof it showed an increase as the result of the posttestobtained an increased average value of 90.1. The use of stop motion graphic animation was applicable to be used as one of the learning media in biology. This was because it fostered students’ interest in the learning process. Therefore, based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the stop motion graphic animation video can be used to improve students’ ecoliteracy skills significantly
The learning implementation plan and student worksheet that are lacking in terms of the learning process cause the learning process to be less efficient, so it is necessary to develop the learning implementation plan and student worksheet. The purpose of this study is to determine the validity and practicality of The learning implementation plan and student worksheet with a make a match learning model and practicum methods on mushroom material. The research method uses a modified type of R&D research in Sugiono 2018. The results of this study show that the learning implementation plan & student worksheet as seen from the validation results by two expert validator lecturers obtained as a percentage of The learning implementation plan scores of 89% and the student worksheet were 94% obtained very valid criteria and from practitioner validators, namely one teacher obtained as a percentage of the learning implementation plan scores of 94% and student worksheet 80%. The practicality of The learning implementation plan and student worksheet can be seen from: a) the results of the implementation of learning at meetings I, II, and III obtained as an average score percentage of 93.06%. b) the activities of the learners at meetings I, II, and III obtained a percentage of the average score of 97.15% and c) the response of the learners obtained as an average score percentage of 81.50% with excellent criteria. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the learning implementation plan and student worksheet with the make a match learning model and the mushroom material practicum method are declared valid and practical for use in the learning process
This study aims to describe the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of POE (Predict-Observe-Explain) oriented learning devices in the form of Lesson Plans (RPP), Student Worksheets (LKPD), Pre-Test & Post-Test Questions. This research uses (R&D), which consists of material analysis, literature study, design of learning devices, validation of learning devices, revision of learning devices, limited scale trials, and producing learning devices that meet the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This study involved 15 students at SMAN 1 Gorontalo. The results show that the POE-oriented learning devices (Lesson Plan, Student Worksheet, Questions) obtained the percentage of validation results from 2 expert validators, namely 91.6% Lesson Plan, 93.3% Student Worksheet, and 91.6% Questions & from the practitioner validators obtained a percentage of 97.2% Lesson Plan, 96.6% Student Worksheet and 100% Questions with very valid criteria. The practicality of learning devices from the results of the implementation of learning is 98.16% in the very good category, the student activity is 89.2%, and the student response questionnaire reaches 87.29% in the very good category. The effectiveness of POE learning devices from the results of pre-test & post-test data analysis conducted during learning using the N-Gain test with an average score of 0,85 is in high criteria. Based on the result, it can be concluded that the development of POE-oriented learning devices on environmental change material is appropriate for classroom learning
