This study aims to determine the perceptions of students about the application of the Shadowing technique in learning Speaking at Institut Pendidikan Nusantara Global. The data in this study were collected from 38 respondents from 3rd semester students of Institut Pendidikan Nusantara Global. The data collection technique used in this study was in the form of a questionnaire containing 5 aspects of the assessment of the use of shadowing techniques including aspects of interesting methods, aspects of student motivation, aspects of student understanding, aspects of time effectiveness and aspects of learning outcomes. The results of the research conducted on students' perceptions of the shadowing technique, are as follows: The results of the interesting aspect of the method, the majority of students gave a positive response of 87%, then in terms of the motivational aspect got positive results of 100%, from the aspect of understanding students got positive results of 86%, from the aspect of time management got positive results of 84 and from the aspect of student learning outcomes got positive results of 97%. Of the five data are in the vulnerable 75%-100%. it can be concluded that the use of shadowing techniques in learning speaking from students' perceptions can be categorized as good.
The team of lecturers from the Institut Pendidikan Nusantara Global did socialization activities for the development of English language skills for the second class of MTs Darul Aminin NW Aikmual Lombok Tengah in order to fulfill one of the Tridharma elements of higher education in the field of community service. English grammar or grammar with Simple Present Tense material as a reference in developing English language skills in this community service. There were 35 students at MTs Darul Aminin NW Aikmual, all of whom came from class A. Each student had difficulties, especially in understanding the Simple Present Tense material, which was proven by the results of the pre-test. Efforts to develop English skills include a pre-test, discussion of material, games, practice questions, and post-test. Besides students being able to use sentence forms properly and correctly, students can also understand Simple Present Tense sentence forms with a new learning atmosphere and more fun learning methods and this is the result of this community service agenda.
The purpose of this research is to analyz what kinds of attitudes showed in President Barrack Obama's speech, how does President Barrack Obama express his attitudes, and how does President Barrack Obama amplify his attitude toward Islam in his Al-Azhar University speech. Based on the data analysis, this research concluded that president Barrack Obama showed the three kinds of attitude namely affect, judgment,and appreciation. The affect dominates the proportion of the attitudes employed in president Barrack Obama's speech 25 sentences it equal to 53%, followed by judgment in the second place'13 sentences it equal to 28%. Appreciation was the least resource of attitude used in the president Obama's speech 9 sentences it equal to 19%. The positive attitude consists of 36 sentences it equals to 77% than negative one consists of 11 sentences it equals to 23%, because he knew that America and Islam have been in tension. In amplifying his attitude the use of focus is more frequents than the force in which 33 sentences in focus and 14 sentences in force. As well as the amplification of President Barrack Obama's attitude tend to focus because America and Islam has been in tension therefore he focused on improving the relationship between America and Islam. As American president who spoke in front of Muslim majority, he was a marvelous leader who could analyze problems and find the solutions.
The purpose of this community service is to develop the Speaking skills of the second class of the students of SMK Negeri 3 Gunungsari Lombok Barat through the use of TED Talk Videos. Listening to TED Talks Video can provide an overview of content structure, make content understanding more optimal, also facilitate the teaching and learning process in more depth, and make learning more stimulating because it applies new models in learning. Through the TED Talk Video, we can learn about the ability to speak effectively in public and learn how intonation, body movements, eye contact, and control awareness without anxiety, can boost students' self-confidence. Conduct socialization and education regarding efforts to develop speaking skills by using TED Talks Videos as a solution that can be used to overcome the English-Speaking Skill constraints of students at the[i] second class of SMK Negeri 3 Gunungsari Lombok Barat.
