Key indicators: single-crystal X-ray study; T = 100 K; mean (C-C) = 0.004 Å; disorder in solvent or counterion; R factor = 0.034; wR factor = 0.081; data-toparameter ratio = 22.5.The asymmetric unit of the title crystal, [FeCl 2 (C 3 H 9 P) 3 -(CO)]Á[FeCl 2 (C 3 H 9 P) 2 (CO) 2 ]Á2C 4 H 8 O, contains half molecules of the two closely related Fe II complexes lying on mirror planes and a tetrahydrofuran solvent molecule, one C atom of which is disordered over two sets of sites with site occupancy factors 0.633 (9) and 0.367 (9). In both Fe II complex molecules, a distorted octahedral coordination geometry has been observed around the Fe atoms. Weak intermolecular C-HÁ Á ÁO interactions are observed in the crystal structure.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
