Ketone Synthesized Cobaloxime/Organocobaloxime Catalysts for Cyclic Carbonate Synthesis from CO 2 and Epoxides: Characterization and Electrochemistry. -A new dioxime ligand is prepared and used for the synthesis of a series of monoand trinuclear cobaloxime/organocobaloxime complexes (10 examples; detailed physical and physico-chemical data). They are investigated in the direct approach to cyclic carbonates from epoxides (I) or cyclohexene oxide and CO 2. Extended research leads to the conditions shown in the scheme as the optimal ones.
