The large demand for cayenne pepper makes farmers need to make efforts to increase crop production by increasing the efficiency of using fertilizers. The alternative fertilizer comes from household waste, namely egg shells. This study aims to determine the effect of eggshell organic fertilizer on vegetative growth of cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.). The research method used was an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 6 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments were P0 (control), P1, P2, P3, P4, and P5 respectively, the treatment of eggshell organic fertilizer with a dose of 0; 45; 60; 75; 90; and 105 g. The treatments were given 3 days after transplanting and harvesting the plants 35 days after transplanting. Data for each parameter was tested for normality, homogeneity test, and analyzed by 1 factor ANOVA. Furthermore, the LSD test was carried out to determine the difference in effect between treatments. The best application of eggshell organic fertilizer was P4 treatment for parameters of root length and plant wet weight, respectively, 20.10 cm and 17.96 g, and P5 treatment for parameters of plant height and plant dry weight, respectively 54.80 cm and 3.00 g. The percentage of root length and wet weight of P4 treatment plants to control were 130.52% and 269.67%, respectively, while the percentage of plant height and dry weight of P5 treatment plants to control were 139.79% and 282.49%, respectively. The application of eggshell organic fertilizer can increase the vegetative growth of cayenne pepper.
Education has the opportunity to develop creative individuals who have ideas and solutions in responding challenges and providing solutions the problems in the 21st century. The research conducted to measure the relationship between students' creative thinking skills in solving environmental problems with the achievement of the Environmental Education course. The study population included all students of the Uhamka Biology Education study program semesrer III 2019 and the sample of this study was 48 students. The instrument resesearch were essay questions and the value of Environmental Education course. Data correlation analysis used linear regression test using SPSS. The results showed the significance value of the linearity test was 0.831> 0.05, which indicated that there was a significant relationship between students' creative thinking skills in solving environmental problems with the environmental education course achievement. The result regression equation Y = 62,139 + 0,310X. Hypothesis testing results in t value (6.187)> t table (2.021), which indicates that there is an effect of students' creative thinking ability in solving environmental problems on the achievement of Environmental Education subjects.Coeficient correlation 67,4 and R Square is 0.454 , which shows contribution of students' creative thinking skills in solving environmental problems on environmental education course achievement is 45,4%.
Oyster mushroom cultivation (Pleurotus sp.) is relatively easy, because it has a fairly good adaptability to the environment and is very suitable to be developed in tropical regions such as Indonesia. One of the factors that play a major role is the planting medium which is generally in the form of wood powder. The supply of sawdust is decreasing, so that alternative media is needed which contains lots of organic matter and cellulose. Straw is an alternative substitute for wood powder media because it is abundant. The purpose of this activity was to provide skills in mushroom cultivation by utilizing straw waste to PKK women in Cigaragol village, Ciulengsi, Bogor. The skills about cultivating oyster mushrooms need to be disseminated to the wider community to overcome the shortage of supply of oyster mushrooms on the market. The method used in this activity is by lecturing, discussing and practicing. The results of training activities on the cultivation of white oyster mushrooms have increased community knowledge and skills by 71.9% which includes the introduction of 31.6% white oyster mushroom service, the benefits of white oyster mushrooms 52.6%, 100% white oyster mushroom habitat, 57.9% white wood powder media for cultivation of oyster mushrooms, straw media as an alternative to 100% white oyster mushroom cultivation and 89.5% white oyster mushroom cultivation technique. Training activities greatly help improve the knowledge and skills of cultivating white oyster mushrooms and potentially increase community income.
