The aim of the journal is to foster, promote and disseminate research involving tobacco use, prevention, policy implementation at a regional, national or international level, disease development-progression related to tobacco use, tobacco use impact from the cellular to the international level and finally the treatment of tobacco attributable disease through smoking cessation.
Certaines formes de précarité plus fréquentes pour les immigrés (surexposition au chômage, revenus plus faibles en moyenne, conditions de logement plus difficiles, expériences multiples de discrimination dans l’accès aux droits, aux biens et aux services, etc.) ou liées à leur statut administratif d’étranger sont des situations contribuant au tabagisme. Les facteurs socioéconomiques défavorables, les antécédents biographiques traumatiques, un accès limité aux services de santé sont des éléments particulièrement à risque en matière de tabagisme et de dépendance nicotinique. Dans cet article, nous nous proposons d’observer en quoi la précarité et la migration influencent les représentations et comportements tabagiques des immigrés ainsi que les stratégies de sevrage.
