Extracurricular activities outside of school hours, aiming to develop student;s interests and talents. SD Kuncup Melati has extracurricular activities,namely batik (batik jumputan), which is intended for students in grades 5 and 6. Efforts to improve extracurricular batik by mentoring and training by Unika Soegijapranata through Kuliah Kerja Usaha (KKU) activities. KKU activities involve lecturers, students, and school participation (students and teachers). The program of KKU’s acticities is to develop and add shibori batik motifs, making creative accesories from batik. The results of KKU’s activities are the batik motif that are increased in the form shibori batik with various models, and creative batik necklaces and key chains. From this activities, batik’s extracurricular and accessory batik’s creation are to be the main activities of SD Kuncup Melati
Although good corporate governance and corporate social responsibility (CSR) have been widely studied, a question remains relevant; why there is a relationship between them, as CSR is influenced by choices, motives, and values of people involving in formulating and taking decisions within organizations, consideration of corporate governance mechanisms, in particular, ownership structure and composition of the board of directors, and board of commissioners. The aim of this was to investigate the relationship between Corporate Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The samples were 23 companies listed in Corporate Social Responsibility Disclosure Index (CGPI) during 2009-2013. The variables used in this study were the number of audit committee, public ownership, foreign ownership, proportion of independent commissioner, and the disclosure of CSR. The Result of this study showed that the number of audit committee have a significant impact on the disclosure of CSR.
This research result gives contribution to Decision on Operation in achieving Low Cost Competitive Advantage in Monica Collection Semarang. Realizing this objective, it should be conducted research in operation decision supporting Monica Collection company to achieve its competitive advantage based on low cost. In this research it was found that there was operation decision conducted which supporting this low cost competitive advantage.
Quality is one of differentiation strategies that can be addressed to achieve competitive advantage. Many alternatives can be selected to achieve this purpose. One of them is to maintain good quality of the products. A craft souvenir enterprise in Semarang controls the operation system of every product it produces to meet a good quality. This is very important since it produces customized products in which each product is designed according to customer order. A case study was conducted on the mica packaging craft product. Observations for 3 months with weekly production period show that the proportion of defective products is still relatively high compared to that is set by the enterprise (3.6% against 3%). By using the Statistical Process Control method and follow-up using the fishbone diagram method, it is found that there are 3 main causes, namely material, man (labor), and machine factors. Refer to this analysis, corrective actions is carried out to reduce occurrence of defective products in the next production periods.
