DiscussionIn most cases pancreatic cysts are located behind and in apposition to the stomach. This is a prerequisite of the present procedure. The cyst should also be of a size which allows the catheter to curl in its lumen. In the present series only cysts which had been aspirated previously by ultrasonically guided puncture were treated with the technique.Based on these preliminary results, it is our intention to extend this procedure to larger groups of patients to determine its feasibility as an alternative to surgical treatment.
