Abstract. The data of Indonesians research publications in the domain of biomed icine has been collected to be text mined for the purpose of a scientometric study. The goal is to build a predictive model that provides a classification of research publications on the potency for downstreaming. The model is based on the drug development process es adapted from the literatures. An effort is described to build the conceptual model and the development of a corpus on the research publications in the domain of Indonesian biomedicine. Then an investigation is conducted relating to the problems associated with building a corpus and validating the model. Based on our experience, a framework is proposed to manage the scientometric study based on text min ing. Our method shows the effectiveness of conducting a scientometric study based on text min ing in order to get a valid classification model. Th is valid model is main ly supported by the iterative and close interactions with the domain experts starting from identifying the issues, building a conceptual model, to the labelling, validation and results interpretation.
International trade is a form of economic cooperation between two or more countries that provides direct benefits. International trade has an important role because a country cannot meet all domestic needs and with international trade, every country in the world can exchange resources owned by each country, with the aim that there is no excess or lack of resources in each country in the world. This research was conducted in 5 countries in ASEAN, namely Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines with a period being tested for 11 years starting from 2010 to 2020 with 2 independent variables being tested, namely inflation and the exchange rate in 5 ASEAN countries and the dependent variable tested is Exports in the 5 ASEAN countries. Analysis of the data used in this study is panel data regression. The results of this analysis show that inflation and exchange rates have a negative and significant effect on exports in the five ASEAN countries, which means that if inflation or the exchange rate in a country increase, exports will decrease and vice versa. So, the macroeconomic factors that exist in a country must still be considered and also considered in international trade activities.
Indonesian scholars have published a numbers of articles in numerous international publications, however, it still lags behind other Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam. This article performs a bibliometrics analysis and examine the collaboration network in Mathematics and Statistics related subject of scholars with Indonesian affiliation as recorded in Web of Science. In total, based on article publications during 2009-2017, 426 articles were retrieved. Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) was the affiliation with the highest number of articles (48%) and number of authors (27%). Using Social Network Analysis to examine co-authorship networks, this research shows that the co-author network has the highest centrality in the ITB affiliation. Meanwhile, dependency of foreign affiliation is still high, shown as a high percentage (84% of all articles) of international co-authorship. Co-authorship network of Mathematics and Statistics related studies in Indonesia possesses as a scale-free network and followed the power law distribution. This research showed the achievement of Indonesian scholars of Mathematics and Statistics, and can be used to evaluate the knowledge transfer in these subjects and related areas.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
