Suzuki-Miyaura coupling and arylation reactions of 2-phenylpyridine are performed by using continuous flow conditions. Different coil materials such as steel and perfluoroalkoxy (PFA) are used. Interestingly, in most of the cases better results are obtained with a PFA coil. -(CHRISTAKAKOU, M.; SCHOEN, M.; SCHNUERCH*, M.; MIHOVILOVIC, M. Tandem Catalysis: From Alkynoic Acids and Aryl Iodides to 1,2,3-Triazoles in One Pot. -The process, which proceeds via decarboxylation/cycloaddition, renders possible the synthesis of a broad spectrum of triazoles and tolerates various functionalities. Besides the aryl iodides, the aliphatic alkene (VIII) is also reactive. If dry DMSO is used, the nitro analogue (VII) is available. -(KOLAROVIC*, A.; SCHNUERCH, M.; MIHOVILOVIC, M. D.; J. Org. Regioselective Syntheses of 2,3-Substituted Pyridines by Orthogonal Cross--CouplingStrategies. -Microwave-assisted C-N cross-coupling reactions of (I) followed by Suzuki-Miyaura coupling give 2-aryl/alkylamino-3-arylpyridines. The isomeric products are obtained from (XI) by Buchwald-Hartwig and subsequent Liebeskind-Srogl coupling reactions following either a two-step or a one-pot sequence. -(KOLEY, M.; WIMMER, L.; SCHNUERCH*, M.; MIHOVILOVIC, M.
