Preliminary comparative analysis regarding the quantity and temporary storage of fish residues in three free open markets in Marabá, ParáABSTRACT Open markets take place everywhere and are points of sale for agricultural products, aquaculture, cattle farming, pig farming, among others. The aim of this research was to analyze and compare the type of temporary storage of the residues generated in three open markets in the city of Maraba -Pará, Brazil. The method used was the inductive one, with quantitative and qualitative scope and applied nature. The primary data were obtained from four visits to the markets, especially for weighing fish residues. Secondary data were obtained from academic texts found on SciELO, CAPES and IES online platforms. The literary period was between 2010 and 2020. The analysis indicated that the quantity sold was higher in Folha 28 (n = 300 kg; 34.88%) followed by Z-30 (n = 290 kg; 33.72%) and Feira Coberta (n = 270 kg; 31.39%). The largest amount of residues production occurred in Folha 28 (n = 223.82 kg; 58.9%), followed by Feira Covered (n = 151.47 kg; 54.8%) and Z-30 (n = 133.11 kg; 45.6%). Regarding storage, in the three open markets analyzed were used plastic buckets; two of them (Leaf 28, Z-30) use 20 L drums and domestic garbage cans whose lining was a plastic bag. For the internal lining of the buckets and drums, traders use 100 L black plastic bags. In conclusion to this informations, the environmental impacts occur in the three open markets due to non-compliance with the CONAMA Resolution 275/01.
Open markets are places of severe environmental impacts due to the large production of organic matter such as scales, fins and fins. The objective of this research was to analyze quantitatively and qualitatively the types of fish residues and the environmental perception of the fish farms regarding the environmental impacts caused by temporary storage and final disposal on the soil. The method applied was deductive, with nature applied. The primary data was obtained in three fairs in the municipality of Maraba, Pará, Brazil, from the counting of the number of boxes (n = 16) in activity, as well as that of merchants (n = 36), identification of the most sold species to characterize the fish waste. The secondary data were obtained from the document data survey with time clipping between 2010 and 2020. Statistical analysis of the data was performed using spreadsheets contained in Excel software, version 13.0. The data obtained and analyzed indicated that the temporary storage of waste is done in buckets (𝑥 = 69,5%), drums (𝑥 = 11,6%) and black plastic bags (𝑥 = 18,7%). The environmental perception of most of them (n = 69.4%) about the correct way for temporary storage of waste is low. However, there are those who know (n = 28.2%) how to reuse this waste, as occurred at the Folha 28 fair (n = 50.0%). As the environmental perception of fish traders is low, they do not know the negative impacts caused by the residues produced by them. A promote training courses for them can improve environmental perception and raise the number of environmental multipliers for environmental conservation.
