This research is motivated by a phenomenon that occurs in the field of Public Relations (HUMAS) of the Republic of Indonesia Television Public Broadcasting Institution (LPP TVRI) Jambi. A strategy is needed by TVRI Jambi as times change where the interest of television viewers is decreasing due to competition from both private television and new media. The audience follows a style that has value. Therefore it is necessary to have a Public Relations in order to expand public knowledge about what programs exist at TVRI in order to increase the existence of TVRI Jambi. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection methods used in the form of observation, documentation, and interviews with data analysis techniques, namely data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results of this study the authors found that the Public Relations Strategy in promoting TVRI Jambi programs to improve the quality of TVRI programs in the eyes of the public to better understand and know broadcasts on TVRI Jambi therefore Public Relations itself uses a communication strategy Public relations strategy, communication, advertising , sales promotion, publicity , corporate design The problems of Public Relations in promoting LPP TVRI programs in Jambi, weak human resources, PR efforts in promoting LPP TVRI Jambi programs in collaborating with other agencies.
Film is one of the mass communication media which is very effective in conveying moral messages to the public. As a visual communication medium, films use moving images and audio which contain information to the audience. Movies become entertainment shows and guidance. In this research, the writer chose the film "Searching for Hilal" as the object of research. This 1 hour 33 minute film tells the journey of a conservative father and a more modern son in search of the new moon, a sign of the beginning of the month of Shawwal and the end of the month of Ramadan. Hilal is used to determine the time of Eid al-Fitr in Islam. This study aims to interpret the moral message of the film “Seeking Hilal” using interpretive qualitative research methods. Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis, which divides meaning into denotation, connotation, and myth, is the data analysis method chosen by the writer to examine pieces of the scene seen as containing elements of moral messages. The results showed the meaning of denotation, connotation, and myths in the film "Searching for Hilal" which contains moral messages, namely: 1). Trade as Worship; 2). Da'wah Ethics; 3). Technology and Islamic Sharia; 4). Religion and Culture; and 5). Diversity in Religion.
This study limits the discussion related to criminal news on the Surya Citra Televisi (SCTV) television station. The purpose of this study was to determine the attitude changes that occur in adolescents after watching criminal news shows, to find out the motivation of teenagers to watch crime news shows on television (SCTV), and to find out the efforts of teenagers to overcome the negative impact of crime news broadcasts on television (SCTV) both independently and independently. or with the help of other parties. Data collection for this research was conducted through interviews and observations. The study found that crime news broadcasts have influenced the behavior of teenagers in Senaung Village, but this influence is not always a negative impact nor a positive impact. The influence of crime news shows on adolescent behavior is very dependent on the personality of the teenager. Adolescent personality is also shaped by family, environment, and peer themes.
Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dukungan sosial dosen dan persepsi terhadap aktivitas membaca mahasiswa pada IAIN Kerinci dan STAI An Nadwah Kuala Tungkal, Jambi. Tulisan ini menerapkan prinsip-prinsip penelitian kuantitatif dengan sampel sebanyak 270 mahasiswa dari IAIN Kerinci dan 170 mahasiswa dari STAI An Nadwah Kuala Tungkal. Sampel ini diolah dengan menggunakan rumus Slovin, sementara instrumen kuesioner menggunakan skala Likert sebagai instrument survei untuk variabel minat baca, persepsi terhadap aktivitas membaca dan dukungan sosial dosen yang kemudian diuji kelayakannya dengan menggunakan construct validity. Penelitian ini dilakukan dari Juni sampai Oktober 2021. Tulisan ini menyimpulkan bahwa dukungan sosial dosen dan persepsi terhadap aktivitas membaca secara bersama-sama mempengaruhi minat membaca mahasiswa IAIN Kerinci sebesar 66,2% dan 33,8% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain, sementara untuk mahasiswa STAI An Nadwah Kuala Tungkal sebesar 41,3% dan 58,7% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Dukungan sosial ini masuk dalam kategori sedang. Sementara persepsi mahasiswa terhadap aktivitas membaca menjukkan adanya persepsi positif dan negatif.
Urban Muslims are one of the unique communities in society. This can be seen from the symbolization of urban Muslims that is different from traditional Muslim societies, in Islamic films. Urban characteristics in Indonesia's populist culture show the dialectic of urban Muslim life in the face of a socio-religious context. Urban Muslims are required to actualize themselves in complex urban life with social class conflicts, social deviations, and cultural orientations. This article aims to identify the symbols of urban Muslims in film when God falls in love using interpretive symbol analysis using Roland Barthes' semiotic theory. This article concludes that the symbolization of urban Muslims in populist culture Islamic film is concentrated on three things: 1) visual communication 2) narrative 3) storyline contextualization. Urban Muslims have unique symbol characteristics 1) religious tolerance 2) anti-establishment 3) self-actualization 4) self-satisfaction oriented.
