Dimirovski, Georgi M. (Dogus Author)This paper addresses the issues of passivity and feedback passivation of switched nonlinear systems via multiple storage functions. The concept of storage-like functions for switched systems is presented. A sufficient condition for passivity of switched nonlinear systems is given via multiple storage functions under some switching signal. Then, the result is extended to find conditions under which a switched system is feedback equivalent to a passive switched system. Furthermore, passivity of switched cascade systems is investigated
We describe several predictive control approaches for high consumption industrial furnace control. These furnaces are major consumers in production industries, and reducing their fuel consumption and optimizing the quality of the products is one of the most important engineer tasks. In order to demonstrate the benefits from implementation of the advanced predictive control algorithms, we have compared several major criteria for furnace control. On the basis of the analysis, some important conclusions have been drawn.
Part-time studies of the MSc program as source of number of technical and scientific innovations in Automation and Computer Based Systems Engineering at Faculty of Electrical Engineering of SS Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, are run for more than 15 years. This innovation in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV's) is the most recent one. By definition, navigation is a process of determining the navigational parameters of the centre of mass, of the moving object. The system that provides us the navigational parameters is called Navigation System. The most used Navigation Systems, developed for a wide range of vehicles, are Inertial Navigation System (INS) and Global Positioning System (GPS). These two systems have their advantages and disadvantages, which makes them complementary. The best estimates of the aircraft position, velocity and attitude can be obtained by GPS/INS integration employing Kalman filter implementation. Kalman filtering is a form of optimal estimation characterized by recursive evaluation, and an internal model of the dynamics of the system being estimated
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
