PERFIL DE GESTANTES COM HIV ASSISTIDAS NA POLICLÍNICA DEGURUPI-TOgestantes HIV positivas notificadas no período de 2002 a 2013 com base na ficha do SINAN e prontuários. Os resultados apontaram um perfil de mulheres jovens (50%), que possuíam certo grau de instrução (26,6%), sendo a maioria de cor branca(53,30%) e que moravam na zona urbana (83,3%). Por se tratar de HIV, os partos mais realizados foram às cesáreas eletivas (83,4%), evidenciando ainda que maior parte das gestantes já tinham filhos (76,7%) e o local do pré-natal escolhido pelas gestantes foi à unidade básica de saúde (93,30%). Em todas as mulheres a contaminação se deu a partir do contato sexual. A partir disso, conclui-se que ainda há necessidade de medidas que contribuam para aumentar o nível de informações das mulheres a cerca do vírus HIV, bem como voltar a atenção para importância dos meios de profilaxia.
Introduction: Enteral nutrition therapy and a key therapeutic option in the care for hospitalized patients. The route intended for enteral nutrition (NE) is also used for drug administration. It is suggested that the administration of drugs in this way needs to be monitored, aiming to improve the therapeutic results. Objective: To discuss the main challenges in medication administration by gavage in the Intensive Care Unit. Material and Methods: We performed a literature review searched the electronic databases Medline, Bireme, Lilacs, and Scielo, including national and international recent articles, the keywords used were: "enteral nutrition", "Intensive Care Units" and "Therapy Nutrition ". It was given preference for articles published between the years 2005 and 2014 looking always prioritize the most current jobs. Results: The results showed that errors in the administration of high surveillance medications are associated with the prescription, transcription, handling, route of administration, dosage form and the technique used. In case of errors can cause permanent damage leading to death. Adopt policies, guidelines, clinical protocols, training and training of the teams, are some alternatives that need to be used by healthcare organizations. Final thoughts: Therefore reduce and prevent mistakes and seek strategies to ensure quality and safety should be part of the daily work process responsible for health professionals, particularly pharmacists.
Irrational use of medicines is understood as the process that includes the prescription, dispensing and use of medicines incorrectly. A pharmacy homemade is characterized as a clear example of this practice, cooperating through the storage of medicines in homes for the waste of them, either by a certain amount stored or by drugs with an expired shelf life. Thus, this study aimed to investigate whether there was a waste of medicines from their irrational use in the community living in the Vila Iris neighborhood of Gurupi-TO. This research was characterized as a descriptive exploratory field with qualitative and quantitative analysis. It was carried out with residents living in the Vila Íris neighborhood of Gurupi-TO, registered at the Family Health Unit (FHU) Hugo Naves Cansado, data collection took place from home visits with questionnaire application during July and August 2011. 142 legal guardians of the residences were interviewed, of this 70.42 % were female, in 90.52% of the households participating in the research there was drug storage and the average was 2.41 drugs per household, according to the results from this research it was possible to notice that in the community of neighborhood Vila Iris, Gurupi-TO, there was a waste of medicines. Although most of the drugs present in the researched houses were acquired by medical indication, the possibility of irrational use of medications is not ruled out mainly due to a lack of adequate guidance.
