Sports photography undoubtedly has a significant place in sports press and publicism. It's main and primary role is to present sports to the readers as art, which it is. Sport is characterized by dynamic and varied movements, and the main role of sports photography is reflected in the fact that it is in this way that sport shows its essence. Having in mind that photography tells more than a thousand words it sends a clear message to the reader as well to people who are informed about events via sports portals. Sports photography is a multidimensional art for many reasons. When we say "multi", it primarily refers to a wider range that sports photography has to offer, which means sports photography is not only directed at presenting athletes on the move and the main actors who contribute to achieving the results by their engagement -it also has the role of sports "psychophotography" which is an analysis and capture of the emotional reaction of an athlete after winning or losing from the opposing team.
Sports photography is a powerful visual tool that can be used to promote sports, athletes and recreational physical activities. Her main role is to present sport as an art. In that respect, good sports photography also implies the recorded moment of the athlete in a specific movement position, which is unusual and which cannot be seen on television. When it comes to the promotion of professional sports, sports photography occupies a significant place in the sports press and sports magazines. On the other hand, sports photography also promotes recreational sports, which is intended for all those who want to do sports for themselves and their own health. Sports photography has the power to present important sports and recreational events to readers in a simple way, without large and dry texts. Good sports photography refers to the composition, angle, light, dynamics and color contrast, i.e. the relationship between warm and cold tones. Also, sports photography depends on good photographic equipment, knowledge and experience of a sport photojournalist. Sports photojournalists always try to present quality and interesting sports photographs in the most professional and high-quality way, which in an artristic way convey ''visual information'' of sports events to loyal readers and sports fans. It is very important to understand that sports photography is not only sports, but also artistic. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to present sports photography and its artistic dimension.
SummaryThe Sokol movement originated in Prague on February 16, 1862, under the then Habsburg Monarchy, as a form of awakening Czech national consciousness through sporting activities. The conceptual creator of this concept was Miroslav Tirsh, and together with him the founders of the Exercise Organization ‘’Soko’’ were Jindrich Finger and Emanuel Toner. Serbian sokolism developed later, on several sides, according to circumstances and circumstances in which the situation was different in the free Principality, then in the Kingdom of Serbia, and differently in the areas where Serbs under the Austro-Hungarian monarchy lived. Sokolism in the south of Serbia arose from gymnastics, which was the „key point” of the work of both the Gymnastics and later Sokol society. A special impetus for mass membership in southern Serbia was given by Uros, son of Proka Crnilovic, from Vlasotince at Belgrade studies, who in 1911 participated with the sokols from Belgrade at the All-Sokol Slet in Zagreb, and even more by participating in the All-Sokol Slet in Prague 1912, when he won the medal in the long jump. The aim of this research was to find out and present historical facts about the occurrence of sokolism in the south of Serbia, especially in Leskovac and Vlasotince.
