Beluntas leaf (Pluchea indica L. Less) and red ginger rhizome (Zingiber officinale Roscoe) is a plan have activity as antibacterial causes acne. Beluntas leaf contain antibacterial compounds from alkaloid, flavonoid free type flavonol, steroid and tannin. Red ginger rhizome extract compounds flavonoid, essential oil, polifenol, and saponin. This study aim to develop gel product extract combination from beluntas extract and red ginger rhizome at concentration 1: 1; 1: 2 and 3:2 formulated in gel, then tested the physical characteristic and gel microbiology tested on P. acne and S. epidermidis. Beluntas leaf and red ginger rhizome extracted by maceration in ethanol 96%, and carbopol 934 as gel base. Physical characteristic test comprise homogeneity, organoleptic, pH, dispersion gel and viscosity. Microbiology tested use method diameter of inhibition zone with Medi-Klin Gel® as positive control. The result show homogeneous gel preparation, with brownish green color, ginger smell, pH 5,83-6,07, spreadability 5,1-5,7 cm, viscosity 690000 cp-1460800 cp. effect of adding extract beluntas leaf and red ginger rhizome to gel preparation, in both single and combination extracts. Antibacterial evaluation showed that formula 3 give the best effectiveness with 5,92 mm zone of inhibition against P. acnes and 4,15 mm against S. epidermidis
Shellfish flour has a proximate content including moisture content, ash content, fat content, protein content and calcium levels. Shellfish flour containing rich calcium can be added in the manufacture of food products such as Snack Bar to increase the nutritional value. The research includes making snack bar barbecue with several types of sweeteners such as honey, palm sugar and sorbitol. Based on the results of proximate and minerals test, it was found that snack bar preparations were made with ash content (2.25, 2.04, 1.88), total fat content (20,34,20,75,24,20) and kalisum (823,78; 506,21; 814,06) which is higher than the positive control. lower protein and phosphorus content than positive controls, and total carbohydrates that approach positive controls. Daun beluntas (Pluchea indica L. Less) dan rimpang jahe merah (Zinngiber officinalle Roscoe) merupakan tanaman yang mempunyai aktivitas sebagai antibakteri penyebab jerawat. Daun beluntas mengandung senyawa anti bakteri yang berasal dari alkaloid, flavonoid bebas jenis flavonol, steroid dan tanin. Ekstrak rimpang jahe merah mengandung flavonoid, minyak atsiri, polifenol, dan saponin. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk menguji kombinasi ekstrak daun beluntas dan rimpang jahe merah yang efektif sebagai anti jerawat yang diuji terhadap bakteri Propionibacterium acne dan Staphylococcus epidermidis. Daun beluntas dan rimpang jahe merah masing-masing diekstraksi secara maserasi dengan pelarut etanol 96%. Ekstrak selanjutnya dikombinasi dan diuji terhadap bakteri P. acne dan S. epidermidis dengan perbandingan konsentrasi daun dan beluntas jahe merah 1,5:1,5 ; 0,75:1,5 dan 2,25:1,5. Hasil uji aktivitas antibakteri menunjukkan konsentrasi daun beluntas dan beluntas jahe merah pada perbandingan 2,25% : 1,5% memiliki aktivitas yang lebih baik pada Staphylococcus epidermidis sebesar 7,2 mm dan pada konsentrasi 0,75% : 1,5% efektif terhadap bakteri bakteri Propionibacterium acne dengan diameter daya hambat sebesar 8,3 mm.
