A set
of Pd-M-Al (M = Ce, La, Y, Ni, and Mg) composite oxides with
an ordered mesoporous structure were obtained, and the influence of
the promoters on the catalytic properties of 1%Pd/Al2O3 was investigated for the catalytic combustion of methane.
The samples were characterized using multiple techniques. The results
indicated that the addition of promoters has little impact on the
morphology of the ordered mesoporous Al2O3 framework
and Al3+ coordination environments. Among the catalysts,
the ordered mesoporous 1%Pd-La/Al2O3 catalyst
showed an excellent activity with a T
90 of 420 °C at 18 L/(g·h) and catalytic stability without
notable deactivation for 2000 min, compared with the 1%Pd/Al2O3. The outstanding catalytic performance is mainly related
to the stabilization of PdO by La2O3 in the
confined mesoporous skeleton of the catalyst.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
