mira schor is a painter and writer. She is the author of Wet: On Painting, Feminism, and Art Culture (Duke University Press, 1997) and coeditor of M/E/A/N/I/N/G: An Anthology of Artists' Writings, Theory, and Criticism (Duke University Press, 2000). She teaches in the mfa Program of the Fine Arts Department at Parsons The New School for Design. She also teaches at SVA in the mfa in Art Criticism Program and in the MassArt Low Residency mfa Program at fawc in Provincetown, Massachussetts. She is currently completing work on a new collection of her essays and is editing The Extreme of the Middle, the collected writings of the Abstract Expressionist painter Jack Tworkov.
