Due to outbreak of the Covid 19, the implementation of education and learning has extremely changed. Face to face meetings as a conventional learning is no longer conducted, in contrast, online learning is more often employed. Thus, a solution to this problem is required to respond to this problem. Online learning is an alternative that can overcome this problem. The purpose of this research is to get a reflection of the implementation of online education by using online media to reduce the outbreak of Covid-19 in universities. The research subjects were PGMI students who were interviewed through Zoom Cloud Meeting to collect the data. The data analysis employed was an interactive analysis method Miles & Huberman. The results of the research showed that: (1) the students had already had the basic facilities needed to explore online education; (2) the online education was flexibly being implemented, encouraging learning independently, motivating to learn more actively; and (3) long distance education urges the students to get used to social distancing attitude and minimizes crowds to reduce the outbreak of Covid-19 in institutions tertiary. The lack of supervision of students, lack of internet signals in remote areas, and high quota payments were challenges in online education. The increasing of independent learning, attention, motivation, and the courage to express ideas and problems was another advantage of online education.
Covid 19 pandemic has changed people's life, including education, in Indonesia. This research aims to describe Islamic education (PAI) teachers’ efforts to optimize online learning during pandemics. Descriptive qualitative was chosen as the method of this research. The research subjects were Islamic education teachers at SMPN 7 Sukoharjo, and the informants were teachers, principals, and students at the school. Data were collected by using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The trustworthiness of data was tested by doing triangulation. Then, the data were analyzed by using an interactive model which consisted of data reduction, display, and verification/concluding. The result of this study indicated that to optimize online learning during the covid 19 pandemics, PAI teachers used various platforms such as Whatsapp, google form, and google meet. The teaching and learning process was done interactively and evaluated by having the mid-term test, final test, and portfolio. Furthermore, the teachers also coordinated with parents about students’ difficulties in online learning, and whenever necessary, the teachers did home visits.
Education has an important role in equipping various abilities of students. One of the goals of education which basically leads students to change. This change allows students to live independently, have hope of ability, and strive for the nation and state. All that can be achieved when handled by professional teachers or teachers who have special expertise, according to their profession.This research was qualitative approach with the field research. Research informants are principals for curriculum and teachers. The results of this study are the regulations of scholl principals such as the Theacher Working Group (KKG), holding recitations every Friday, reciting the yellow book specifically for teachers, reciting 1 juice a week, Friday daily evaluation, fingerprinting, making implementation plans. Learning (RPP), motivational Apel, reciting KIBAR, memorizing and murojaah, reciting women’s fiqh. The implementation of the principal’s regulation greatly influences the professional development of teachers.
