Pervaporation as a membrane process is applied for dehydration of organic mixtures. The performance of a composite ceramic membrane was assessed in the pervaporation process for dehydration of dimethyl aminoethyl azide (DMAZ) solution under different operational conditions. The system behavior was modeled, and the model solved numerically with the finite element method via COMSOL software. Good verification in experimental and modeling results was observed with calculated errors of less than 2 %.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
