The purpose of the study is to describe an analysis of children’s song characteristics Titounis. This study used a musicological approach to recognize songs’ characteristics. The data collection were document study and, listen and take note. This study used a content analysis technique. The analysis cover three aspects: (1) songs’ analysis, (2) instruments’ analysis, (3) Onomatopoeia. The songs that were analyzed were (1) Petit Escargot, (2) Le Roues de l Autobus, (3) Les Chiffres, (4) Un kilometer en Roulant. In the song analysis, the patterns used were general patterns, using fun and cheerful vocals, strong tonal stress, relatively limited variations in tones, slow, fast, and gradual tempo. The delivery style invites singing as well as dialogue or interaction. Then in musical instruments, the melody variations of each instrument form harmonization, the use of non-musical instruments emphasizes the theme of the song and provides the experience of hearing about the environment. The onomatopoeic analysis shows sound vroom (car), pataboum (jumping passengers), bip-bip-bip (serine), suisse-suisse (wiper). The onomatopoeia of Titounis songs serves to strengthen the song’s theme.
The competences of music teacher candidates in teaching singing practice and playing a musical instrument are needed in the teaching-learning process at general schools. Hence, the process needs a comprehensive preparation for both competences. The objective of this study is to prepare an assessment instrument of singing practice and playing a musical instrument which is needed to assess the competences of music teacher candidates. The study used mix-method approach. The combination of qualitative and quantitative is required as the two methods are interrelated for both in the process of preparing assessment instruments and testing the instrument. The instruments consist of nine assignments. The six of which are the instruments for reading melodic and rhythmic notation and the other three instruments are to assess the skills to accompany songs. Based on the result, it can be found that the coefficient of instrument reliability is 0.817 in the type of consistency definition and 0.810 in the type of absolute agreement definitions. It can be concluded that the instrument made by using the analytic rubric of coefficient the reliability is better compared to the instrument made by a holistic rubric.
It is necessary to develop a music aptitude test instrument as students, basic music knowledge is not optimally developed yet. Due to the inavailability of such instruments in the music education department, this study saimed to design and develop music aptitude test. The tests in used to measure students skills in understanding basic musical skills. This study used experimental quantitative approach. The findings resulted in 40 test items covering 8 teaching goals and 35 indicators aligned to the Semester Learning Plan (RPS) of solfeggio class. Further, the future research will focus on music aptitude test in audio form for the students.
Tegalan music is typical music of Tegal regency which lyrics use Ngapak language. A piece of music group that still exists until now is Joend Pro. Joend Pro's musical group was formed in the year 2009 by Imam Joend. Joend Pro's musical group is on the basis of the consciousness of Imam Joend, about the importance of the existence of the art area of the music as a characteristic of the regional arts of Tegal Regency. This research aims to know, describe, and analyze the existence of the Tegalan Pro music Group in Slawi Tegal Regency. This research uses qualitative descriptive methods with data collection through observations, interviews, documentation and library studies. The result of the study was to demonstrate the existence of the Joend Pro band. Joend Pro often conducts self-performing, provit performances, as well as entertainment invitations at government events. Joend Pro's musical group's existence is still acknowledged to exist until now by society. This is evidenced by the community's performance offerings to fill entertainment at weddings and other events.
IntisariPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis stra-tegi pembelajaran ekstrakurikuler musik rebana di RA Nahdlatus Shibyan Kabupaten Jepara. Penelitian dilakukan secara deskriptif melalui pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan melalui tiga teknik yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dan uji keabsahan data dilaku-kan dengan derajad kepercayaan dan triangulasi. Komponen-komponen pembelajaran yang diteliti adalah kompinen proses, materi, metode, media dan evaluasi pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh pelatih musik rebana. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa strategi pembelajaran ekstrakurikuler musik rebana di RA Nahdla-tus Shibyan menggunakan strategi pembelajaran langsung dan strategi penerapan metode ceramah, demonstrasi, dan metode drill.Kata Kunci: strategi pembelajaran, metode pembelajaran, musik rebana AbstractThis study aims to identify and analyze the extracurricular learning strategies of rebana music in RA Nahdlatus Shibyan, Jepara Regency. The research was conducted descriptively through a qualitative approach. Research data collection was carried out through three techniques, namely observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques and data validity tests were carried out by means of degree of confidence and triangula-tion. The learning components studied were process components, materials, methods, media, and learning evaluations carried out by the rebana music trainer.
