The study was conducted to determine whether there is an effect of Islamic guidance on emotional maturity in early adolescents. Which is where the process of providing Islamic guidance is integrated with cognitive restructuring techniques that focus on changing negative thinking patterns to positive thinking patterns so that it affects the indicators of emotional maturity, namely emotional unstability (emotional instability), emotional regression (emotional regression), social maladjustment (inability to adjust social), personality disintegration (personality disintegration), and lack of independence (less independent). This research uses quantitative research methods with experimental and descriptive approaches to get answers to predetermined problems and get wider information about cause-and-effect relationships about a phenomenon. That is how the influence of Islamic guidance in achieving emotional maturity. The research subjects were teenagers with emotional maturity problems who were students of MTsN 1 Mojokerto and SMPN 2 Bangsal. Then, the hypothesis testing of the experimental group was tested through the Wilcoxon statistical test. Based on the results of data processing, the experimental group of MTsN 1 Mojokerto obtained the Asymp value. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05, it can be concluded that Ha is accepted. Then, testing the hypothesis of the experimental group at SMPN 2 Bangsal, the Asymp value was obtained. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.006 <0.05, it can be concluded that Ha is acceptable. That is, there is an influence on the emotional maturity of adolescent students at MTsN 1 Mojokerto and SMPN 2 Bangsal after being given an intervention in the form of Islamic guidance.
<span lang="EN-US">This research aims to determine the implementation of Islamic Art Therapy with Doodle Art in escalating student’s self-confidence at UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya, as well as the effect of therapy. The study uses a qualitative experimental case study with single subject design model. Descriptive-comparative analysis is used by collecting data through observations, interviews, questionnaire, and documentation. The subjects were two students who had 10 indicators of low self-confidence based on observations and interviews, and their self-confidence scores were at a weak level based on the Lauster questionnaire. The five stages of therapy were implemented to the subjects six times in a month, including W</span><span lang="EN-US">arm up, Draw My Emoji, Motivational Session, Draw My Doodle, and the last, Evaluation and Follow up.<span> T</span></span><span>he results showed that therapy has been implemented as planned procedure, however, at the first and second meetings, the motivational session requires a fairly long portion of time. </span><span lang="EN-US">The effects of therapy were emerged on changes in the level of student self-confidence. Seven out of 10 indicators have changed, which means there is a fairly high increase in self-confidence. However, the confidence score of two subjects was still in low level based on the Lauster questionnaire, even so, the score shows an increase. Suggestions for further research, the results might be different if the process of Islamic art therapy considers aspects in the Lauster questionnaire.</span>
Purpose of Study: The research aims to produce a mobile-based system for decision making to choose majors for high school students. Methodology: This type of research is development research using the Lee & Owens model and is validated by media experts and counseling teachers. Main findings: This research resulted in a mobile application that combines three types of psychological tests, namely multiple intelligence, Riasec, and personality types, to facilitate students in determining their majors. The application has been validated by media experts and counseling guidance teachers. Application of this study: The resulting mobile application can be used by counseling guidance teachers in grade XII high schools who are still having difficulty in determining college majors. Product trials were conducted at Wachid Hasjim High School Class XII with a research sample of 40 people. Novelty/originality of this study: This application can speed up decision making and can be used to determine college majors.
