Not infrequently when students are dealing with mathematics problems where they do not know what they are supposed to do. Learning in class can make a habituation to students. This study aims to determine whether or not there are differences in achievement of students' Low Order Thinking (LOT) abilities between learning Probing Prompting (PP) and Realistic Mathematics (MR) on quadrilateral. This research was conducted with a total sample of 60 students, namely 30 students in class VIIA with PPL learning and 30 students in class VIIB with MR learning. The sample selection is done by cluster random sampling. The instruments used to collect data are based on three dimensions in the cognitive domain, namely remembering, understanding, and applying. The results of the descriptive statistical analysis of the data show that the average achievement of students in the PP learning group is equal to 75.36, while the average achievement of students in the MR group is equal to 68.53. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that there were significant differences in the LOT achievement of students between PP and MR learning on Quadrilateral material.
<p><em></em><em>Anther culture is useful tool in rice breeding. The technique shortens the time to obtain full homozygous plant in just one generation. Information related to genetic variability among the regenerants is important for further analysis including selection activities. The objective of this study was to analyze agronomic character variability and yield potential among doubled-haploid lines (DH0) derived from anther culture. This study was carried out in Center for Agricultural Biotechnology and Genetic Resources Research and Development (BB Biogen) from October 2016 to February 2017. The experiment was arranged in randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications. Forty eight doubled haploid lines derived from anther culture and three check varieties were evaluated. The results showed high genetic variability as well as broad sense heritability (more than 90%) for all variables tested. Several lines showed superior agronomic characters compared to check (Ciherang, Inpari 18, Inpago 10). Padi (Oryza sativa L.) merupakan komoditas penting ke-dua di Dunia dan menjadi makanan utama di Asia. Perubahan iklim memberikan dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan dan menimbulkan berbagai bencana. Perubahan iklim juga menyebabkan pengaruh yang variatif terhadap padi. Weedy rice (Oryza sativa F. Spontanea) selama ini dianggap sebagai gulma dan menjadi ancaman diberbagai negara meskipun masih termasuk dalam spesies padi budidaya. Eksistensi weedy rice menunjukkan karakter toleran terhadap berbagai cekaman yang dapat ditransfer ke padi budidaya. Berdasarkan hal tersebut review terkait karakter karakter dan gen-gen penting penting dilakukan untuk menyediakan informasi bagi pemulia dalam merakit tanaman tangguh iklim (climate resilience plants). Hasil dari review ini menunnjukkan bahwa weedy rice memiliki karakter yang berkorelasi dengan gen-gen yang tahan terhadap cekaman (biotik dan abiotik). Beberapa gen yang meregulasi karakter tersebut sudah ditemukan, beserta beberapa lokusnya. Kedepannya weedy rice dapat menjadi alternatif dalam penyediaan gen donor untuk merakit tanaman padi yang resisten terhadap berbagai cekaman.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbandingan luas daun sawi caisim dari beberapa dosis nutrisi menggunakan software ImageJ. Dalam perhitungan luas daun menggunakan objek referensi sebagai perbandingan dalam input nilai luas daun dalam bentuk pixel yang kemudian diubah dalam bentuk centimeter. Setelah itu, citra gambar diubah ke dalam bentuk citra biner (0 dan 1). Kemudian tahap akhirnya dengan memilih gambar daun untuk mengetahui luasannya. Pada penelitian ini proses pengambilan gambar dilakukan dua kali untuk melihat tingat error pada pengambilan pertama dan kedua. Metode pengukuran luas area daun yang diusulkan mendapatkan tingkat akurasi dan presisi yang tinggi sehingga dapat menghemat waktu, tenaga, serta biaya. Pengujian menggunakan ANOVA mendapatkan hasil tidak berbeda nyata sehingga pengambilan gambar sebanyak apapun tidak akan berpengaruh pada perhitungan luas area daun.
