Background: Collaborative learning approach is an innovative learning process which encourage & motivate students to learn how to cooperate in a classroom setting & commonly achieve the objectives of learning. Peer learning is possible in groupwork because students in group work not only learn from their peers, but also develop new skills and improve their learning abilities. Selected Nursing Colleges in a metropolitan city, Design: Setting: Participants: 29 undergraduate nursing students. A lecture was taken on specic topic. Later, on the Methods: same topic students performed Fish Bowl Discussion, where 5 students were sitting in the center, discussing the topic & rest of students were the audience. During the discussion teacher had also given her inputs & moderated the discussion. The total time allotted for Fish Bowl is 30 minutes. At the end of the discussion feedback was taken from the students on the perception upon Fish Bowl Technique of discussion. The study result shows 79.3% students strongly agreed that t Results: his method helpful in understanding the communication and topic effectively. 72.4% students strongly agreed that this method helps to improve attention, active listening, uent communication stimulate interest in the class. Fish Bowl Techniq Conclusion: ue can be adapted as a add on to lecture method to learn in an innovative way which will not only encourage the students to comprehend but also it will enhance their communication skill.
