Novel pyrimido[4,5-b]quinolines and pyrido[2,3-d:6,5-d ′ ]dipyrimidine derivatives were synthesized in one-pot, three-component approach using sulfonic acid supported on hydroxyapatite-encapsulated-γ-Fe 2 O 3 [γ-Fe 2 O 3 @HAp-SO 3 H] as magnetically recoverable nanocatalyst. The protocol provided a rapid, useful and green method for the preparation of the products in short reaction times and high yields.
One-Pot Synthesis of Novel Pyrimido[4,5-b]quinolines andPyrido[2,3-d:6,5d']dipyrimidines Using Encapsulated--Fe 2O3 Nanoparticles. -10 Pyrimidoquinolines (IV) and 14 pyridodipyrimidines (VII) are prepared using a sulfonic-acid supported hydroxyapatite-encapsulated --Fe 2O3 as magnetically recoverable catalyst. Features of the new method are higher yields of the products, shorter reaction times, and lower reaction temperatures compared to other known protocols using ultrasonic irradiation or conventional heating. The magnetic nature of the nanoparticles allows for easy recovery and recycling of the catalyst by an external magnetic field. -(MOHSENIMEHR, M.; MAMAGHANI*, M.; SHIRINI, F.; SHEYKHAN, M.; ABBASPOUR, S.; SHAFEI SABET, L.;
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
