BACKGROUNDMalnutrition among children is widely prevalent in developing countries including India. More than 33% of deaths in children less than 60 months of age are associated with malnutrition. 1 To reduce the mortality and morbidity among children with severe acute malnutrition, the government has established nutritional rehabilitation centres across India in the districts and in the teaching medical colleges. A study was done at ACSR Govt. Medical College to analyse the effects of nutritional interventions on SAM children in a facility based Nutritional Rehabilitation Centre.
