Deuterated organic molecules are of utmost importance in many areas of science and have been recently intensively investigated in medicinal chemistry due to their enhanced metabolic stability. The development of...
Ynamides provide unique opportunities not only for the introduction of nitrogen‐containing motifs into organic molecules but also for the generation of otherwise hardly accessible highly reactive intermediates. This addendum discusses the synthesis of ynamides with copper as the general solution. It provides information on 1,1‐dibromo‐1‐alkenes as practical alkynylating agents. The addendum also discusses the chemistry of ynamides, which is a versatile and useful building blocks in organic synthesis. The development of efficient synthetic procedures for the preparation of ynamides, including those from 1,1‐dibromo‐1‐alkenes, paved the way for their use as building blocks in organic chemistry. Besides the use of strong acids, electrophilic metal complexes have also proven successful to activate ynamides.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
