This study aims to determine the effect of scramble learning models assisted by prezi on mathematical critical thinking skills. The type of research used was quasi-experimental design. Data collection was performed by tests of mathematical critical thinking skills. Data were analysed using one-way ANOVA test and continued with multiple comparisons. Hypothesis testing used one way ANOVA with a significance level of 5%. The result of hypothesis test showed F count is 3.24 and F table is 3.10 or F count is greater than F table, then, hypothesis 0 is rejected. This study found that the average score of the class using scramble learning model assisted by prezi was higher than the class that used scramble learning model and conventional learning model. Based on these results it can be concluded that there is an influence of the scramble learning model assisted by prezi on the mathematical critical thinking ability of grade VII.
In this study, research using guided inquiry was conducted to improve students' ability to think critically. By improving and making the worksheets the students of this research are expected to make it easier to understand a lesson. The development step in this study is to conduct a preliminary study as the first stage, then pre-product planning and development, after which the pretest, product prerevision and field test are carried out. Data collected in this study was carried out by observation, documentation, interviews, questionnaires and tests. In addition, student worksheets are validated based on media and material, which will be given revisions based on suggestions from the media, matrices, and experts. The participants of this study were students Junior High School of SMP Negeri 30 Bandar Lampung, Indonesia. The final results in this study, showed that the development of guided inquiry based worksheets was able to improve students' critical thinking power, which was obtained from the results of good category values, namely 71.07% on average students in mathematical critical thinking.
This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) learning model to the mathematical reflective thinking skills and the students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. This research is a type of Quasi-Experimental Design research with a 2x2 factorial research design. Data collection techniques in this study in the form of documentation and tests at Private school in Bandar Lampung with 28 students of experiment classes and 28 students of control classes. Data analysis techniques used are the normality test and homogeneity test. Testing the hypothesis in this study using the Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) test. Based on the results of the study, The calculation of the MANOVA test, it was concluded that there was an influence on the application of the SSCS learning model to students' mathematical reflective thinking skills. The application of the SSCS learning model to the mathematical reflective thinking ability has an influence percentage of 91.9%. The application of the SSCS learning model to mathematical reflective thinking skills and mathematical problem solving abilities has a relatively high level of effectiveness.
Numerical ability is very important to possess by students in learning mathematics. Increased numerical ability impacts learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of the Two Stay-Two Stray learning model on the numerical ability of students on the sequence and series topics. The research method used was a quasi-experimental method with a post-test-only control design research design. The assessment instrument used the problem description. Based on the analysis of the post-test score by using a t-test of two uncorrelated samples obtained tobserved = 2.955>tcritical = 2.002 (α = 0.05) with an average post-test score of 81.6 in the experimental class and 76 in the control class. A significant result of numerical ability between the control class and the experimental class was found. It can be concluded that the Two-Stay Two-Stray model produced a greater post-test mean score than the conventional model.
The changing times that followed the development of technology made the education system management must be updated to suit the needs and conditions of the environment. In this article, we look for information about the education system in two different countries, namely Japan and Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to find out the integration between the two countries that have different education management systems. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method. In this research also, the research method is based on the philosophy of postpositivism, using natural conditions or objects. The instrument used to find out information on the education system in each school uses 10 questions and looks for curriculum information data in general in each country. The findings in this study found that, although the management of the education systems of the two countries was slightly different, Indonesian students could compete to continue their tertiary education to developed countries. Besides, the education system in Japan does not make students from Indonesia experience difficulties.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
