The integration of Information Technology in fish marketing has become a neglected issue in North Sumatera, Indonesia. As located in the Malacca Strait and the Indian Ocean, the territorial waters of North Sumatra expect to bring many benefits to both community and government in the fisheries sector. Marketing as the part of a business to interact the producers and consumers is required to achieve optimal utilization in managing fisheries catches for marine products Marketing Mix as the tactical marketing tools can be applied into IT applications and tools. Promotion, Product, Place, Price, Process, People and Physical Evidence as the 7Ps of Marketing Mix has been touched by the fashion of this technology. This paper proposed five stages should carry out to fulfil an IT–integration fish marketing. Literature review and concepts regarding the relationship between IT tools and fish marketing are critically assessed.
Production is influenced by a combination of many factors including land area, fertilizer, distribution of varieties, labor and capital availability. This study aims to analyze whether the variable of land area, width of the spread of varieties and capital (DPM-LUEP) significantly influence the corn production in North Sumatra Province. The data used in this study used secondary data starting from 2011 to 2015. Secondary data consisted of data of land area, extent of distribution of varieties and capital grant (DPM-LUEP) in 7 (seven) Regency of corn production center. Secondary data is obtained from Food and Livestock Service Department of North Sumatera Province, Food Crops and Horticulture Agency and related Institution which is deemed appropriate. The method of analysis used in this study using multiple regression method. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that the overall model of maize production is estimated to give significant result, because independent variables are land area, area of spread of varieties and capital that is observed significant with real level α = 5%. The observed variables are compatible with their theoretical expectations.
Palm oil was first introduced in Indonesia by the Dutch government in 1848, at that time there were 4 oil palm seedlings planted at Bogor Botanical Garden (Botanical Garden) in Bogor, two from Bourbon (Mauritius) and two from the Hortus Botanicus, Amsterdam ( Netherlands). Currently the development of oil palm cultivation is increasing with an area of 2017 covering 11.5 million hectares and the production of palm oil (CPO) has reached ± 30 million tons in 2018. The main objective of this research is to find out the influence of the increase of capacity achievement, availability of raw materials and the achievement of oil and palm kernel oil to the performance of oil palm factory, especially the cost of processing so that it can give added value to the company. Based on the result of the research, it is known that the capacity of X1 is negative but not significant. This is in accordance with the hypothesis, the availability of raw material (X2) is negative but not significant and the yield of rendement (X3) is negative but not significant this is in accordance with the hypothesis and capacity though, the availability of raw materials and yields of yields together have a significant effect on the cost of processing. On the basis of this, then the management should increase attention to the capacity of the process, the availability of raw materials and the achievement of rendemen to minimize the basic price.
