COVID-19 telah ditetapkan sebagai Kedaruratan Kesehatan Masyarakat yang Meresahkan Dunia (KKMMD). Provinsi Jawa Timur dan Kota Surabaya merupakan salah satu daerahi dengan angka kasus terbanyak dan telah dikategorikan sebagai zona merah. Total kasus konfirmasi positif COVID-19 di Jawa Timur sebanyak 3.642 Kasus. Namun di Kota Surabaya ada sebanyak 1.975 Kasus. Hal tersebut dari penerapan protokol kesehatan COVID-19 di masyarakat yang dipengaruhi oleh pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan dari masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan penerapan protokol kesehatan COVID-19 warga di wilayah program RT Siaga Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dengan kuesioner yang berasal dari Program RT Siaga Kota Surabaya. Jumlah sampel responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 70 responden. Data dianalisis secara univariat dengan menyajikan distribusi frekuensi variabel. Karakteristik responden sebagian besar di usia 31-40 tahun dan berjenis kelamin laki-laki. Sebanyak 69 responden (99%) memiliki pengetahuan penerapan protokol kesehatan dalam kategori baik. Sebanyak 70 responden (100%) memiliki pemahaman sikap penerapan protokol kesehatan kategori baik sedangkan yang memiliki tindakan penerapan protokol kesehatan dalam kategori baik sebanyak 68 responden (97%). Pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan warga di wilayah program RT Siaga Kota Surabaya sebagian besar menunjukkan kategori baik terhadap penerapan protokol kesehatan COVID-19.

Islamic boarding schools (Pesantren) are Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia. The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia has launched a concept to encourage people to care about their health, namely the Clean and Healthy Behavior (PHBS). Islamic boarding schools also have health problems so they need attention in efforts to improve public health. The health effort undertaken at the Pesantren is Poskestren (Pesantren Health Care). Based on the Health Department Data of East Java Provincial (2019), there are 3,965 islamic boarding schools with 1,284 Poskestren in East Java province. Poskestren can be a solution in solving health problems in Pesantren. Therefore the Poskestren must be arranged properly. In health promotion there are health promotion strategies which consist of advocacy, community development, community empowerment and partnerships. This health promotion strategy can be a reference in the implementation of the Poskestren in Pesantren.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) is a disease caused by a virus from the Coronavirus group. Covid-19 has spread to almost all parts of the world and has increased the number of accumulative cases continuously to date.  In Indonesia, East Java Province is one of the provinces with the highest cumulative confirmed cases of Covid-19.  This problem has prompted the government to make efforts to contain Covid-19.  Covid-19 Task Force Neighborhood Association Alert is a form of collaboration between Healthcamp.id and the Provincial Government of East Java through the East Java Covid-19 Task Force to promote health with a community approach within the Neighborhood Association.  Therefore, one of the authors participated in this activity in helping to prevent and overcome Covid-19 in East Java Province, especially in the City of Surabaya. Volunteer activities are participatory observational with online and offline methods. Volunteer activities were carried out on 12 May 2020 - 2 July 2020.  Volunteers made various efforts to tackle Covid-19, including health education, health screening, data collection of aid, monitoring of citizen health, monitoring of residents' territorial conditions, and distributing aid.  These activities are then analyzed and evaluated based on what is health promotion action means. This activity concludes that all efforts to combat Covid-19 have been carried out according to the program.  It is known that the knowledge of residents in the Neighborhood Association (NbA) Alert the City of Surabaya program area is mostly good with the implementation of the Covid-19 health protocol, namely as many as 99% of respondents.  The attitude of residents in the NbA Alert the City of Surabaya program area is good with the protocol for implementing the Covid-19 health, which is 100% of respondents.  Most of the actions of residents in the NbA Alert the City of Surabaya program area have been good with the implementation of the Covid-19 health protocol, namely as many as 97% of respondent.
