Sabun telah menjadi kebutuhan primer hampir di seluruh lapisan masyarakat. Seiring dengan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi dibidang kimia dan farmasi, perkembangan kosmetik mulai bergeser ke arah natural product karena adanya trend back to nature. Salah satu bahan herbal yang dapat ditambahkan dalam sediaan kosmetik sabun mandi padat adalah ekstrak kulit manggis. Kulit buah manggis diketahui tersusun atas senyawa polifenol yang cukup banyak, diantaranya adalah antosianin, tanin, xantone, dan senyawa asam fenolat. Xantone yang banyak terdapat pada kulit buah manggis berfungsi sebagai antioksidan, antiproliferasi, anti-inflamasi, dan antimicrobial. Oleh karenanya dapat digunakan sebagai bahan tambahan pada formulasi sabun. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hasil analisa organoleptik, derajat keasaman, kadar air, dan alkali bebas serta pengaruh variabel penambahan ekstrak kulit manggis. Tahap dari penelitian ini meliputi formulasi sabun menggunakan 15 gram minyak kelapa dengan penambahan 12 gram NaOH serta variabel berubah ekstrak kulit manggis 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7, 0.9 dan 1.1 gram. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh variabel sabun yang dibuat telah memenuhi Standar Nasional Indonesia 1994. Penambahan ekstrak kulit manggis tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap uji derajat keasaman, kadar air, dan alkali bebas. akan tetapi berpengaruh terhadap warna sabun Kata kunci : formulasi, ekstrak kulit manggis, NaOH, sabun padat

This study is carried out in Delanggu, Klaten, that has high productivity of rice but undergoing a decrease in the role of the sector of agriculture. The goal of this study is to observe young people departicipation in the sector od agriculture and fators that influence it. The method used is survey method. The population is all of the young people in Delanggu, 1.419 peoples. The sampling uses stratified proporsional quota sampling where respondents are divided into three groups of age, 15 – 19 years old, 20 – 24 years old, and 25 – 29 years old. Every sampling in eah group is taken 5% proportionally, with its homogenates consideration, while the characteristic, which has determined in order to fulfil the number of determined quota in each age group. Collected data is presented in the form of frequency and cross table. Qualitative data analysis uses logical thought, deducyive – inductive, analogy ang comparison, whereas analyzing frequency and cross table uses quantitative data analysis. The use of both analysis is adjusted to the data and goal of the study.
