This study was conducted to invistigate the effect of oat seeds powder for which contain of active compounds that stimulate necessary hormones production to reduce the effect of ovariectomy in initiate and development of atherosclerosis, and its effects on liver tissue, then compared with simvastatin drug which used to decrease the level of cholesterol, Triglycerides and (LDL-c) Low Density-Lipoproteins-cholesterol which have the great effect on atherosclerosis. The results showed positive effects as a significant increase (P≤0.0001) in Adiponectin hormone with significant decrease in Leptin hormone in rabbit's serum that given oat seeds powder and also those treated with simvastatin drug, and insignificant increase in Estrogen hormone in this two groups compared with control group in contrast there is a negative effects as a significant decrease in Adiponectin hormone and Estrogen hormone concentration in ovariectomized rabbit's serum with significant increase in Leptin hormone concentration, while tend in ovariectomized rabbits given oat seeds powder to be in near with normal concentration in control, and ovariectomized rabbits group given simvastatin showed either significant or insignificant near with normal concentration in control. Experimental atherosclerosis by ovariectomy in females led to negative effects on biochemical criteria of blood serum as compared with control group, which was represented by significant increase in the concentration of Total Cholesterol (TC) and Low Density Lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-c), beside significant decrease in High Density Lipoproteinscholesterol (HDL-c) and Paraoxonase enzyme (PON-1), in general treated rabbits with oat seeds powder led to positive willful for all precedent parameters. Histological sections of aorta artery in ovariectomized rabbits showed atherosclerotic lesions between the muscle fibers in media of aorta in contrast with the normal structure of aorta in rabbits in control group. Ovaiectomy led to negative effects on histological features of healthy and overectomized rabbit's liver.
The current study was designed to investigate the effect of cholesterol supplementation at a dose of (260 mg/kg ration) and boiled extract of red pepper at a dose of (100 mg/kg body weight) on the Testosterone hormone, Thyroid stimulating hormone or Thyrotropin, thyroxine, thyronine, and it is effects on the body weights of male rabbits after 4, 8 weeks of the start of treatment. Forty local male rabbits aged (8-10) months old were randomly divided into four groups (10 animals/ group) to be treated as follows: First group: Standard ration and distilled water represented as control groups. Second group: Standard ration plus cholesterol at the dose (260 mg/ kg ration) and distilled water. Third group: Standard ration with drinking red pepper fruit boiled extract at the dose (100 mg/ kg body weight). Fourth group: Standard ration plus cholesterol (260 mg / kg ration) in addition to drinking red pepper fruits boiled extract at a dose of (100 mg/kg body weight). All groups were treated daily for eight weeks. Results showed that cholesterol treatment caused significant decrease(P≤0.05) in the hormones level, with a significant increase (P≤0.05) on the body weights of treated rabbit after 4 and 8 weeks. Furthermore, treatment with red pepper boiled extract led to a significant increase (P≤0.05) on the levels of the studied hormones, and a significant decrease (P≤0.05) in the body weights of treated rabbits.
The present trail was conducted to know the effects of Cumin seeds powder at different concentrates (250, 500, 1000, 2000) mg/kg B.W on some physiological and reproductive characters of male Quail bird’s. (Coturnix coturnix) The study was included (25) male of Quail birds their age and weight were (60-75) days, (161-180) g respectively, the experiment randomly divided equally into 5 groups,5 for each group First group was given a standard ration and empty capsules dose, considered the control group. Second group was given a standard ration and capsules contains Cumin seeds powder at 250 mg/kg B.W, Third group was given a standard ration and capsules contains Cumin seeds powder at 500 mg/kg B.W Fourth group was given a standard ration and capsules contains Cumin seeds powder at 1000 mg/kg B.W. Fifth group was given a standard ration and Cumin capsules at dose 2000 mg/kg B.W, this treatments was daily continue for 4 weeks. The results exhibited positive outcome significant through their effects on some physiological and reproductive characters where it rose by the concentration of the total antioxidants capacity (TAC) as compar with the control group, the increase was clearer by treating the birds with the 500 and 2000 mg/kg B.W concentrations, with (p ⩽ 0.05) possibility level. The hormonals concentrations were increased such as Testosterone, Spermatogenic Stimulating Hormone (SSH) and the Interstitial Cell Stimulating Hormone (ICSH) compared with the control group with (p ⩽ 0.05) whereas the Corticosterone decreased over the whole Cumin seeds powder treatment groups within all concentrations compared with the control group at (p ⩽ 0.05), the decrease was clearer within birds group treated with 2000 mg/kg B.W concentration. The study results suggest that the Cumin seeds powder has positive effects over concentration of the total antioxidants capacity for and some male sexual hormones while inhibition occurs in other hormones as cortisol.
This study was conducted to investigate the effect of flaxseed on some biochemical characteristics represented by ALT, AST ALP, enzymes, as well as to determine glutathione and malondialdehyde levels and body weight of birds which ranged between (175-200)g, (60-70) days old. Male Quail birds were divided into five groups 5 birds-group. Flaxseeds were used after grinding in different concentrations as capsules of (250, 500, 1000, 2000) mg/kg of body weight. The birds were treated daily with that flaxseeds powder. Results showed a good improvement in the biochemical qualities as well as a rise in the level of glutathione and the reduction of MDA level in addition to lowering the body weights of birds, especially in the group given 2000 mg/kg of body weight.
This study was conducted to investigate the effect of cinnamon boiled extract (2000 mg / kg body weight) on some hematological parameters and Leptin hormone level in healthy and experimentally-induced diabetic white New Zealand female rabbits, it ' s weights ranged between 1300-1400 gm and aged 9-12 months. The rabbits were randomly divided into 4 groups, (9 rabbits / group) Control, Alloxan, Cinnamon and Cinnamon with Alloxan together group. The rabbits were dosaged and observed for four weeks. The results showed that the cinnamon boiled extracts enhance the hematological parameter for the healthy and diabetic female rabbits. The treatment raised red blood corpuscles, total white blood cells, hemoglobin concentration and packed cell volume comparing with the Alloxan and Control group. Furthermore, the treatment with Cinnamon boiled extract increases the level of Leptin hormone comparing with the Alloxan and Control groups.
