Summ ary Ovocyte donation : the Antoine Béclère Hospital experience This study reports on more than 7 years long experience concerning in vitro fe rtilization (IVF) connec ted with oocyte donation (OD) , es sentially based on « personnalized anonymity». lt took place within the context of the recenùy publi shed French law on bioethics whi ch permits oocyte donation in cer tain conditions, after many years of discussion on the legality of this procedure. From February 1987 until May 1994, 304 couples parti cipated in our program of IVF plus OD (228 patients without function ning ovaries, 76 with functionning ovaries). During this period, 263 transfers were performed, 186 cycles were synchronized and 77 cycles necessitated fr eezing-tha wing of embryos. six hundred and ninety nine embryos were transfer red, 93 biochemical pregnancies, 67 clinical and 54 ongoing pre gnancies were obtained. Forty three of them concerned single tons, 10 twins and 1 quadruple pregnancy that was reduced to two embryos.
