The newly emerged 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has urged scientific and medical communities to focus on epidemiology, pathophysiology, and treatment of SARS-CoV-2. Indeed, little is known about the virus causing this severe acute respiratory syndrome pandemic, coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2). Data already collected on viruses belonging to the coronaviridae family are of interest to improve our knowledge rapidly on this pandemic. The current review aims at delivering insight into the fundamental advances inSARS-CoV-2 epidemiology, pathophysiology, life cycle, and treatment.
Background: The whole world is facing one of the biggest health related disasters of the century. As a novel disease, Covid-19 has so many parameters yet to explore. Aim: To explore varied pattern of clinical presentation of COVID-19 in obstetric population in tertiary care hospital. Study design: Cross-sectional study. Methodology: This study with enrolled pregnant females (n=36) was carried out after ethical review committee’s (ERC) approval at Department of Gynecology & Obstetrics, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Lahore-Pakistan over a period of 3 months in 2020. Data was analyzed by SPSS software, version-20. Presenting symptoms of subjects were presented as frequency and percentage. Results: Total 36 patients were selected. Twenty four (66.66%) patients were symptomatic while the rest 12 (33.33%) patients were asymptomatic. Conclusion: We concluded that clinical presentation of COVID-19 pregnant patients is similar as in rest of the world and it is also same as in general population. Many business leaders believe that a comprehensive risk management system provides an essential foundation for maintaining competitive advantages. Moreover, the company is today in the need to set up this device since its environment is unstable and it is constantly changing. In the current circumstances of the virulent pandemic COVID-19, risk management is gaining importance. The majority of Moroccan companies, especially SMEs, are still in an embryonic stage with regard to the practice of risk management. It should be noted that certain SMEs have set up, in particular in the food industry, a food risk management system since this is of a regulatory nature. The results of empirical research have shown that the implementation of a quality management system or an integrated quality and food safety system in the companies promotes risk management. The risk approach is a transversal approach that allows companies to improve their operation and be resilient.
The aim of this work is to show that organizational change is a response to certain problems generated by a market specialization strategy. Our study is based on two cases of SMEs that first engaged in a business relationship with a single client for more than five years. This led to a high degree of skills specialization and a certain organizational rigidity which was subsequently detrimental to the continuity of the company's activity, particularly when the relationship with the only single client was unexpectedly concluded, for the client had become increasingly demanding in terms of cost and time. Analysis of the data shows that both SMEs have made a series of organizational changes (restructuring of the company, recruitment of new skills, training activities, use of partnerships with other organizations, etc.) to overcome this perilous situation. As a consequence, these companies were able to reorient their business policy in order to reduce their dependence and then ensure their business sustainability and growth.
Developing the resilience of hospitals in this period of crisis is no longer a choice but rather has become a matter of course for survival. The use of this concept to understand how organizations can overcome the current crisis seems relevant insofar as the research will first identify the human and organizational constraints that are a source of vulnerability for public hospitals and then understand the main practices undertaken by the university hospital to deal with the COVID-19 crisis in terms of the HR function, and finally see to what extent these practices can contribute to the resilience of the public hospital.
