SURFACE CHEMISTRY TRACKING OF SiO2 PRODUCT OF PSTA-ZIRCONIUM PURIFICATION TECHNOLOGY FACILITY. Surface chemistry tracking of SiO2 product of PSTA-Zirconium Purification Technology Facility had been done. The objective of the investigation is to track the functional groups of xylanol (≡Si-OH), siloxane (≡Si-O-Si≡) as well as water (OH) at the surface product of SiO2 gel. The processing parameters conducted were temperature, time and concentration of HF acid. Tracking of SiO2 gel was conducted by using Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy and the detection of Fe 3+ impurities desorption using atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS). The maximum purification product of
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
