This paper suggested a new two parameter distribution named as Hamza distribution. A detailed description about the properties of a suggested distribution including moments, moment generating function, deviations about mean and median, stochastic orderings, Bonferroni and Lorenz curves, Renyi entropy, order statistics, hazard rate function and mean residual function has been discussed. The behavior of a probability density function (p.d.f) and cumulative distribution function (c.d.f) have been depicted through graphs. The parameters of the distribution are estimated by the known method of maximum likelihood estimation. The performance of the established distribution have been illustrated through applications, by which we conclude that the established distribution provide better fit.
In this work a novel distribution has been explored referred as Burhan distribution. This distribution is obtained through convex combination of exponential and gamma distribution to analyse complex real-life data. The distinct structural properties of the formulated distribution have been derived and discussed. The behaviour of probability density function (pdf) and cumulative distribution function (cdf) are illustrated through different graphs. The estimation of the established distribution parameters are performed by maximum likelihood estimation method. Eventually the versatility of the established distribution is examined through two real life data sets.
In this study a new generalisation of Rayleigh Distribution has been studied and referred it is as “A New Two-Parametric Maxwell-Rayleigh Distribution”. This distribution is obtained by adopting T-X family procedure. Several distributional properties of the formulated distribution including moments, moment generating function, Characteristics function and incomplete moments have been discussed. The expressions for ageing properties have been derived and discussed explicitly. The behaviour of the pdf and Hazard rate function has been illustrated through different graphs. The parameters are estimated through the technique of MLE. Eventually the versatility and the efficacy of the formulated distribution have been examined through real life data sets related to engineering science.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
