A b s t r a c t A r t i c l e I n f oThe present work is an attempt to look at the possible synergistic role the chosen phytoextracts would contribute in making an effective herbal combination with enhanced anti-oxidant potential. Aqueous extracts of Achyranthes aspera, Amaranthus caudatus, Calotropis procera, Gymnema sylvestre and Taraxacum officinale were examined for their individual phytoconstituent profile and a polyherbal combination was prepared which showed an encouraging result in terms of the radical scavenging and anti-haemolytic activities.
