The aim of this research was to determine the physical stability of the cream ethanol extract of Goroho banana peels at a concentration of 12.5%. Evaluation of physical properties includes organoleptic test, homogeneity, pH, dispersibility and adhesion. The stability test was carried out using the cycling test method for 6 cycles by re-testing its physical properties. Test result of physical properties (cycle 0) cream preparation, namely organoleptic test (odor: typical of banana ethanol, color: green, texture: semi-solid), homogeneity (homogeneous arrangement), pH 5.04 ± 0.25, spread capacity 3.43 ± 0.12 cm and power sticky 30.55 ± 0.12 seconds, and the stability test during the cycle test there was no significant difference.
ABSTRAKLedakan populasi hama Promecotheca cumingii Baly (= nucifera Maul.) ABSTRACTCoconut pest Promecotheca cumingii Baly (= nucifera Maul.) (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) outbreaks in North Sulawesi, firstly occurred in 2015 in Modayag sub district, East Bolaang Mongondow Regency, North Sulawesi Province. Larvae of this leafminers chew and burrow into the leaf tissue. Larvae and pupae spend their entire life inside the leaflets. Adults feed on young leaflets and make characteristic thin longitudinal lines on the lower surfaces of the leaflets. Serious damage can cause scorched fronds and might lead to a significant coconut yield losses. The purposes of this research were to study palm damage, pest population and their natural enemies. Three locations were selected on the Modayag Sub District. In each location 5 palms were selected randomly in the area of the pest attack. At each palm one coconut frond was taken in the middle of the canopy, and the leaf damage, population of larvae, pupae, adult, and natural enemies were measured and counted on the leaflet samples that was taken at every 10 th leaflet. The results showed that the average population of larvae and pup...
Organic or biological fertilizer liquid is generally used to improve crop quality in plants grown in-vivo. Liquid organic and inorganic fertilizers have been used as in vitro culture media for orchids and patchouli; it is suspected that liquid biological fertilizers can also be used as in vitro growth medium. The research was conducted to determine the effect of liquid biological fertilizer (LBF) on the growth medium and development of dwarf coconut embryo culture. The study was conducted in laboratory tissue culture Palma Crops Research Institute, December 2020 - May 2021. The study used live combinations of culture mediums, and each used ten explants of dwarf coconut embryos. The results showed that on Eeuwens Y3 100% + 100% sugar medium, all experienced browning, three green shoots (live), and seven brown shoots (dead), the average shoot length was 2.9 cm. Medium LBF 100% without sugar does not undergo browning, and the embryo does not develop. LBF 50% + Eeuwens Y3 50% + 50 % sugar best medium: a minor browning, the highest number of green shoots (8 shoots), average shoot length was 4.1 cm.
