In order to determine distributions of the spin‐Hamiltonian parameters in lithographic stone subjected to hydrostatic pressure, two methods are used: EPR linewidth analysis and computer simulations. Estimatesmade using both methods show reasonably good agreement. In specimens subjected to the maximum pressure, 8 GPa, the distribution widths of the finestructure parameters are: ΔD ≈︁ 2.5, ΔE ≈︁ 1.0 mT. The linewidth analysis method is fit for a rapid estimate of ΔD and ΔE, whereas computer simulations are indispensable for obtaining more reliable quantitative data.
