Thermodynamic analysis is used to identify the possible chemical reactions in the ZnSe-ZnTe-Se-H 2 -C system. The results suggest that one very likely process in this system during ZnSe 〈 í 〉 synthesis is the formation of fine, fullerene-like particles of hydrided soot, which will persist during the crystal growth of ZnSe 〈 í 〉 and may have a significant effect on the physical, optical, and physicochemical properties of the crystals.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
