It was studied neurohumoral and immunoinflammatory disorders in 184 patients with Q-myocardial infarction (153 with metabolic syndrome and 31 without metabolic syndrome). It was found that acute period of Q-myocardial infarction in patients with metabolic syndrome is associated with a decrease in serum insulin-like growth factor and activation of a range of neurohormonal and immunoinflammatory factors: C-reactive protein, interleukin-1α, interleukin-6, tumor necrosis factor-α, endothelin-1, plasminogen activator inhibitor-1, which have close correlations with the components of the metabolic syndrome.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
