Blood cockle (Anadara granosa) is one of the marine biotas that can be used as a bioindicator of the pollution level of sea water. The nature of blood cockle stays in one place because of their slow movement and they are non-selective filter feeders which filter water in order to get food. The use of activated charcoal during soaking is to keep the food safety from blood cockle contaminated with heavy metals. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectivity test of soaking duration on blood cockle (Anadara granosa) and activated charcoal toward reducing metals lead (Pb). This study employed Randomized Complete Design (RCD) using three different soaking periods such as 30 minutes, 60 minutes, and 90 minutes. The samples were analyzed by Inductively Coupled Plasma Emission (ICPE). The parametric data was analyzed with One Way Anova test. The result of the study showed that the soaking duration among 30 minutes, 60 minutes, and 90 minutes in activated charcoal showed significantly different (P< 0.05) toward the levels of lead.
This study aims to determine the increase in the quality of spermatozoa and testosterone after giving L-carnitine to white rats (Rattus norvegicus). This study was conducted by giving L-carnitine as a treatment for 42 days in white rats with a dose variation of 100 mg/kg bw, 150 mg/kg bw, and 200 mg/kg bw and user controls as a comparison. The variables observed in this study were the quality of spermatozoa, namely: morphology, motility, viability, membrane integrity, and seeing the levels of the hormone testosterone. The research data were processed using a computer statistical program (SPSS 22.0 for Windows) using the One Way Anova test. The results showed that giving high doses of L-carnitine supplements for a long time could cause decreased spermatozoa quality, namely: morphology, motility, viability, membrane integrity and decreased levels of the hormone testosterone.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Flipped Classroom terhadap hasil belajar materi ajar Mikrobiologi pada mahasiswa Program Studi Ilmu Keperawatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimen semu dengan pre-post non equivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Tingkat I Semester II Program Studi Ilmu Keperawatan Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kesehatan Bali Tahun 2018. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa kelas A sebagai kelas dengan penerapan model Flipped Classroom dan kelas C sebagai kelas dengan model konvensional dengan jumlah 131 mahasiswa. Pengambilan sampel penelitian berdasarkan teknik purposive sampling. Data yang diperoleh, kemudian dianalisa dengan menggunakan Paired Sample T Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, rata-rata hasil belajar kognitif pre test dan post test mahasiswa dengan penerapan model Flipped Classroom masing-masing sebesar 55,22 dan 81,07. Sedangkan pada kelas konvensional rata-rata hasil belajar pada pre test dan post test berturut-turut sebesar 52,40 dan 69,40. Penerapan model pembelajaran Flipped Classroom berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa keperawatan dalam materi ajar Mikrobiologi (p < 0,05). Model pembelajaran Flipped Classroom pada materi ajar Mikrobiologi selain mempengaruhi hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa, model ini menjadikan mahasiswa menjadi aktif, mempengaruhi keterampilan dan motivasi belajar serta berpendapat sesuai dengan evidence based. Free radicals are one of the triggering factors for degenerative diseases. Free radical activity can be minimized or prevented in the presence of antioxidant compounds. The butterfly pea flower (Clitoria ternatea L.) has long been used as a traditional medicine to cure various diseases. Previous research has shown that the Butterfly pea flower has bioactive compounds, one of which is flavonoids, which act as antioxidants. Butterfly pea flower can be used as another substitute in making black tea-based kombucha drinks. Kombucha fermentation can increase the benefits of Butterfly pea flower with the presence of organic acids, minerals, and vitamins produced during the fermentation process. This study aims to determine the effect of fermentation time on chemical characteristics including pH, reducing sugar content, and antioxidant activity. Based on analysis of variance ANOVA showed that the length of time fermentation had a very significant effect (P>0.01) on pH, reducing sugar content and antioxidant activity of black tea and Butterfly pea flower kombucha. The longer the fermentation time, the lower the pH and sugar content in the medium. Optimum antioxidant activity occurred on the 8th day of fermentation in the variation of treatment P3 (3:3) which was 89.74%. These results indicate that black tea kombucha and Butterfly pea flower are categorized as having high antioxidant activity at the interval of 68.45% to 89.74%.
Pendahuluan: Pernikahan dibawah umur saat ini masih sering terjadi dan dapat memberikan dampak pada keadaan ekonomi, kesehatan, sosial, dan psikologi dari remaja itu sendiri. Salah satu faktor penyebabnya adalah minimnya pemahaman dan sikap Pendewasaan Usia Perkawinan (PUP). PUP bisa didapat oleh remaja melalui Pusat Informasi dan Konseling Remaja (PIK-R). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan antara partisipasi siswa dalam PIK-R dengan sikap PUP Siswa SMA khususnya di Kota Denpasar. Metode: Penelitian korelasi cross sectional ini dilaksanakan di dua SMA Negeri di Kota Denpasar pada bulan Maret 2021. Lima puluh lima siswa yang mengikuti kegiatan PIK-R menjadi sampel penelitian yang dipilih menggunakan metode total sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua instrumen yang dikembangkan oleh peneliti, yaitu kuesioner partisipasi dalam PIK-R dan sikap PUP. Kuesioner disebarkan secara daring melalui Google Form dan dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik Spearman rho. Hasil: Partisipasi dalam kegiatan PIK-R terbanyak berada pada kategori sedang yaitu 36 responden (65,5%). Kategori sikap PUP terbanyak adalah baik sejumlah 52 responden (94,5%). Ada hubungan bermakna antara partisipasi siswa dalam PIK-R dengan sikap PUP (p-value < 0,05, r = 0,34). Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan signifikan antara partisipasi siswa dalam PIK-R dengan sikap PUP pada siswa SMA Negeri khususnya di Kota Denpasar.
