There is a reduction in inflammation due to a reduction in inflammation-related immune responses and a decrease in cytokine production, which prevents COVID-19 from becoming more severe. Dexamethasone's significance in the treatment of COVID-19 is currently unproven. When it comes to combating this pandemic, COVID-19's pathophysiology and dexamethasone's efficacy are the deciding factors.
