This paper introduces temperature invariant absolute rotatory encoder using photocells on the visible light spectrum. A multivariate function is proposed to remove error arising on photocells through temperature variance and a small change in light intensity. Multiple experiments are conducted in the controlled environment to prove proposed multivariate function. Encoder introduced in this paper is more scalable than grey code encoder available in the market. Dynamic auto calibration is also proposed to make encoders more reliable with time.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
