Although prior studies have found the negative relation of authoritarian leadership with workplace outcome, authoritarian leadership styles are particularly prevalent in emerging markets. This study examines the effectiveness of authoritarian leadership in organizational change by considering two boundary conditions: low perceived job mobility among employees in have-to exchange situations and high cognitive trust in leaders in willing-to exchange situations. Based on a sample of 203 employees and their supervisors in 39 work teams in China, multilevel modeling identified a negative impact of authoritarian leadership on employees' active support for organizational change. However, this negative effect disappeared when perceived job mobility was low and cognitive trust in the leader was high. The findings offer insights into the prevalence of authoritarian leadership in emerging markets despite negative impressions of this leadership style (Harms et al., 2018).
Ladybird beetles in the tribe Epilachnini include notorious crop pests and model species studied intensively in various fields of evolutionary biology. From a combined dataset of mitochondrial (ND2) and nuclear (28S) DNA sequences, we reconstructed the phylogeny of 46 species of Epilachnini from Asia, Africa, America, and the Australian region: 16 species in Epilachna, 24 species in Henosepilachna, and one species each in Adira, Afidenta, Afidentula, Afissula, Chnootriba, and Epiverta. In our phylogenetic trees, both Epilachna and Henosepilachna were reciprocally polyphyletic. Asian Epilachna species were monophyletic, except for the inclusion of Afissula sp. Asian and Australian Henosepilachna species likewise formed a monophyletic group, excluding H. boisduvali. African Epilachna and Henosepilachna species did not group with their respective Asian and American congeners, but were paraphyletic to other clades (Epilachna species) or formed a separate monophyletic group (Henosepilachna species) together with Chnootriba similis. The American Epilachna species were monophyletic and formed a clade with American Adira clarkii and Asian Afidentula manderstjernae bielawskii; this clade was the sister group to Asian and Australian Henosepilachna, but was distant from Asian Epilachna. Chnootriba was embedded in the African Henosepilachna clade, and Afissula in the Asian Epilachna clade. Epiverta, which is morphologically unique, was the sister group to Asian Epilachna, although with weak support. From reconstructions of biogeographical distribution and host-plant utilization at ancestral nodes, we inferred an African origin for the common ancestor of the species studied, and found the frequency of host shifts to differ greatly between the two major lineages of Epilachnini examined.
It is necessary to take into account synthetically attribute of every index because of independence and incompatibility resulted from single index evaluating outcomes. Through the information entropy theory and attribute recognition model being combined together, attribute recognition model based on entropy weight is constructed and applied to evaluating groundwater quality by a new method, weight coefficient by the law of entropy value is exercised so that it is more objective. The outcome from concrete application indicates that it is suitable to evaluate water quality with reasonable conclusion and simple calculation.
Water resources carrying capacity (for short WRCC) evaluation is the basis of regional development planning, environmental protection and water resources sustainable exploitation. The evaluation result plays a decisive role which decides whether we can work out a reasonable program. In view of the uncertainty of evaluation indicators for WRCC, the model of Set Pair analysis based on entropy weight is proposed to be established, and be applied to WRCC evaluation of 11 cities in Henan province. The evaluation result shows that the overall WRCC is fragile. Nanyang and Pingdingshan have some potential for water resources development with a strong carrying capacity. In the rest cities, water resources development and utilization have been close to saturation. We can see that improving the development and utilization level of water resources is urgent. At last, the result of the model applied to the example is compared with fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model, that shows that the model can avoid effectively subjectivity of weight coefficient computing, and the results are reasonable and satisfactory.
In this paper, the concept of quality management is clarified in the first place, and meanwhile, the quality feature of construction project, characteristics, and quality management of construction engineering project are illustrated. The quality management of construction engineering project, namely the comprehensive quality management method is illustrated. Furthermore, the feature, basic thoughts and basic methods of comprehensive quality management are illustrated in detail. Later, the process of quality control for construction engineering project, quality control functions and tasks, system organization of quality control, basis of quality control and monitoring method are explained in detail.
